Allianz places a strong emphasis on continuous learning and professional development. The company offers a variety of training programs designed to help employees enhance their skills and advance their careers. Some of the key programs include: - Onboarding and orientation: New employees participate in comprehensive onboarding sessions to get acquainted with the company culture values and operational procedures. This helps ensure a smooth transition into new roles. - Leadership development programs - Technical and role-specific training - Soft skills training - Professional certifications: Allianz supports employees in pursuing relevant professional certifications and offers financial assistance and study leave to help them achieve these certifications. - E-learning platforms: Allianz provides access to various e-learning platforms and online courses, allowing employees to learn at their own pace and convenience. These platforms cover a wide range of topics, from technical skills to personal development. We have also had specific training days where we participate in a seminar like session. So far we have had two - the first one focused on building and maintaining professional relationships, both within and outside the company. It covered techniques for effective networking, personal branding, and leveraging social media platforms like Linkedin to enhance one's professional image. The second one emphasised the important of understanding one's strengths, weaknesses and emotional triggers. It included strategies for managing stress, setting personal goals, and improving overall well-being through self-awareness practices. Skills I have picked up at Allianz: 1. Project management - I've gained experience in managing projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones. 2. Stakeholder engagement - I've honed my ability to understand and address stakeholder needs, manage expectations and build strong professional relationships. 3. Communication and presentation - My role has required me to communicate effectively with team members, present findings and recommendations to senior management and produce clear and concise reports.

Team members have been really great at teaching me tasks and supportive my learning. There have also been many opportunities to join grad level trainings regarding a number of interesting topics relevant to my area of work.

Most of the learning has been experiential (learning by doing) but we also have 'lunch and learns', and an online training platform for compliance and corporate training. I was sponsored and given study leave to complete a post graduate diploma as well.

There are training modules that must be completed when starting at Allianz and also modules that need to be completed every few months or so. Informal training is also provided when there are changes that the team needs to be across.

Allianz has partnered with Development Beyond Learning and their programs have helped me to grow in my soft skills along with my work skills. They have good onboarding training as well.

Learning and development workshops are set up through out the year, while they can be interesting and interactive, there are no follow up on the skills and teachings discussed previously
