AMP welcomes diverse thinkers with entrepreneurial ambitions.
In the two year, six rotation AMP Capital Public Markets graduate program, graduates have the opportunity to undertake rotations across the Public Markets business to develop an understanding of various investing styles and strategies and security valuation methodologies through analysing global economic, industry and sector data.
The Public Markets business is broadly split into two main areas:
Multi Asset Group (MAG) – responsible for the investment management of the Multi-Asset, Diversified and Multi-Manager funds. These funds are constructed by blending investments across multiple asset classes and investment managers.
Global Equity & Fixed Income (GEFI) – responsible for the investment management of various strategies in listed Australia Equities, Fixed Income, Global Property and Global Infrastructure. These funds are constructed from the individual securities within each listed market.
The Public Markets two-year graduate program begins in February 2021 and provides an opportunity for graduates to complete six, four month rotations. Public Markets is divided in to a number of specialist areas and graduates will have the opportunity to rotate through areas such as:

"The Public Markets graduate program gave me a unique introduction to the funds management team. The autonomy of each team, in terms of setting their own investment process and internal structure, meant that every rotation provided a new set of challenges, opportunities and skills to be learned. In each team I rotated through, I was actively included in their investment process and given tasks and projects that not only added to my own skill set and knowledge, but also added value to the team. Through this graduate program, I've had amazing opportunities to meet with senior executives of both Australian and foreign listed companies, learn from leading industry analysts and attend conferences and industry networking events. Outside of the technical knowledge gained, the broader AMP Capital graduate program has a significant focus on personal development, including a range of soft skills, which I found to be extremely useful as I left the graduate program and entered my first analyst role. The number of employees in Public Markets who started on the graduate program is a testament to its success, and, as a result, I found everyone was more than willing to donate their time to the graduates, whether it be for technical knowledge, career advice or just to have another friendly face on the floor."
