What you'll do
Provide assistance to the ASX legal team in relation to a range of commercial and compliance related matters, including: Research and drafting advices in relation to:
the operating rules of the ASX Group
Corporations Act
contract law
general commercial and trade practices law
Drafting and reviewing standard form agreements, such as copyright permission requests and confidentiality agreements
Co-ordination of requests for information, witness statements, affidavits, subpoenas, notices to produce and regulator notices and requests
File management and management of registers (including trademarks, subpoenas, contracts)
Participant in strategic and efficiency projects within the legal and regulatory teams
The successful candidate will be required to work between 15-20 hours per week during university semesters and ideally has the flexibility to work more hours during holiday periods.
What you've done
To be successful in this role you will possess a minimum of 3 years of study of a law degree. Ideally, candidates will be heading into their penultimate or final year of a law degree. Candidates will also be able to demonstrate the legal learning skills, communication competencies and professionalism required of the role.
