Opportunity Expired
Are you a job seeker or student with a disability, mental health condition or chronic illness looking to advance your career opportunity and expand your professional network?
You can now expression your interest on the next intake of PACE Mentoring Program in Autumn 2023! PACE Mentoring is a free industry mentoring program that matches job seekers and students with disability with experienced professionals from leading Australian businesses like QBE, ANZ, icare and more!
PACE recognises that students and jobseekers with disability frequently find themselves with little or no work experience, and may not be fully aware of the skills and attributes they can offer an organisation. This adds to the difficulties that job seekers may encounter as they try to enter their chosen careers.
The program is a four-month commitment during which time the mentors and mentees will meet approximately 6-8 times. Mentees benefit from accessing the mentor's accumulated knowledge and expertise, and being guided in their professional development and goal setting. Mentees may also work on career confidence, interview techniques, resumes and putting together an impressive cover letter.
The aim is to give participants a range of skills, experiences and advice about the workforce, as well as provide mentors with a rewarding professional developmental experience. Participants can gain valuable skills and advice on how to be successful in gaining employment and explore career path options with an industry professional.
The 4-months program is a great opportunity to:
Spring intake: August - December
