ASIS is Australia’s overseas secret intelligence collection agency. Its mission is to protect and promote Australia’s vital interests through the provision of intelligence services as directed by the Government. Its work can involve collecting intelligence relating to national security, international relations, and economic issues.
Offering a rare chance to work within the Australian Secret Intelligence Service, ACTIVATE gives graduates on-the-job experience and training in one of the most unique, dynamic, and fast-paced workplaces in Australia. Throughout the 12-month program, you'll learn how intelligence is gathered, reported, and actioned.
ASIS Legal graduates have the opportunity to work across the entire spectrum of ASIS's legal practice, encompassing operations, legislation, litigation, and corporate matters. They engage in context-rich learning experiences, receiving vocational coaching and mentorship from seasoned national security lawyers. Additionally, graduates gain broad exposure to legal matters within the National Intelligence Community, forging close working relationships with other intelligence agencies and Commonwealth entities.

You’ll complete a rotational program to help you learn about different parts of the Organisation that will give you a strong understanding of the business of intelligence. The types of rotations and training and development opportunities you complete will depend on which graduate stream you choose.
