ASIS is Australia’s overseas secret intelligence collection agency. Its mission is to protect and promote Australia’s vital interests through the provision of intelligence services as directed by the Government. Its work can involve collecting intelligence relating to national security, international relations, and economic issues.
ASIS provides graduates with tailored on-the-job experiences, training, and support in one of the most unique, dynamic, and fast-paced workplaces in Australia. Over the course of a 12-month program, you will learn how Intelligence is gathered, reported, and actioned and how your expertise and commitment are critical to its ongoing evolution and success.

As a graduate in the technologist stream, you’ll undertake multiple workplace rotations that expose you to a range of technical activities; that purposefully build your corporate cultural knowledge; and that develop and extend your skills and tech competencies. You’ll work with both operational technology and enterprise teams to innovate and develop new solutions to complex problems that enable the foreign intelligence collection mission.

You’ll complete a rotational program to help you learn about different parts of the Organisation that will give you a strong understanding of the business of intelligence. The types of rotations and training and development opportunities you complete will depend on which graduate stream you choose.
