What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
I am very happy with the salary that I received as a graduate. I think this is an incredibly good starting salary, for a graduate. I have no complains with this.
Graduate, Perth - 19 Jul 2024
Pay is above average for an engineering grad position. No bonuses for grads, but that's expected. Only 8 because I always want more money :)
Graduate, Sydney - 19 Jul 2024
I think it is fair, based on market and benefits are excellent.
Graduate, Adelaide - 19 Jul 2024
We are competitive in the market and Babcock offered a high amount than a competitor I was looking at.
Graduate, Adelaide - 19 Jul 2024
pays fairly well for a starter.
Graduate, Adelaide - 16 Jul 2024
I think having the potential for 6-monthly raises in the graduate program is a great idea. Regular employees have yearly salary reviews, which I think is pretty standard.
Graduate, Adelaide - 15 Jul 2024
Pay is ok for starting level, I have been here a while before joining the graduate program therefore I feel like more is deserved. On base it is higher than market for starting graduates.
Graduate, Auckland - 12 Jul 2024
I think I'm paid appropriately in comparison to the current market based on the fact that I'm in a graduate position. What I'm dissatisfied with is that I'm paid the same as if not less than my colleagues in the same position as me. The issue is I'm exceeding my roles expectations and going above and behind what I have seen from my colleagues. I have been given the opportunity to step up, and exceed what is expected of me. In return am paid the equivalent or less than my colleagues and will receive the exact same pay rise as them.
Graduate, Perth - 10 Jul 2024
I believe I am paid fairly compared to the average graduate engineer.
Graduate, Adelaide - 09 Jul 2024
Very Good! Excited to when I start earning more
Graduate, Auckland - 09 Jul 2024
Pay was on the lower end from what I was offered at other companies. no bonuses so far have been discussed or awarded.
Graduate, Adelaide - 09 Jul 2024
I have not yet had the chance to discuss bonuses etc. however the graduate pay i think is good
Graduate, Adelaide - 09 Jul 2024
I am yet to go through a salary review however feel as though the pay is industry standard.
Graduate, Adelaide - 03 Jul 2024
I am satisfied with my level of pay as a graduate, so long as it keeps up with inflation. Having worked in fast food in the past, I have found my quality of life improve as I can now afford more than the bare necessities. From what I know, bonuses are given to standout employees, and am not expecting one as of yet until I reach that level.
Graduate, Auckland - 25 Jun 2024
The starting rate for a graduate role is fair, we have a 6 monthly pay-review process.
Graduate, Auckland - 25 Jun 2024
My pay is fantastic for the role I'm in. This comes with the defence industry, but it is worth mentioning. Graduates get 6-monthly pay reviews as well, and my first one is due in a month or two (which I am looking forward to).
Graduate, Adelaide - 24 Jun 2024
It's a good starting wage for a graduate, though as I have had prior experience and from stepping up into my role I do believe in the pay review period I will converse for a raise.
Graduate, Melbourne - 24 Jun 2024
Standard starting rate and seem to have opportunities to progress this if you work well
Graduate, Auckland - 24 Jun 2024
Haven't had one
Midlevel, Auckland - 19 Apr 2023
The pay is industry standard, but we do not get bonuses.
Graduate, Adelaide - 13 Apr 2023
What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
beRewarded benefits!!!, private health insurance, rostered day off options, social gatherings at the office (lunch and learns)
Graduate, Perth - 19 Jul 2024
Non-specific, but Babcock has very good travel and leave policies. Travel is effectively covered from end to end and you can take your leave pretty much whenever you want. Aside from that, it's about what you'd expect.
Graduate, Sydney - 19 Jul 2024
It is hard to say given I have not worked for other companies.
Graduate, Adelaide - 19 Jul 2024
This is not unusual, but I love that we have a graduate committee that can organise events so we can create a strong community together! This is really important to me as my team is spaced across Australasia and the sense of the team and community is very hard to build virtually.
Graduate, Adelaide - 19 Jul 2024
no comment besides flexible work arrangements.
Graduate, Adelaide - 16 Jul 2024
There aren't really any fantastic perks, the be rewarded scheme is ok.

I have not looked into this much
Graduate, Adelaide - 09 Jul 2024
Free food from time to time, money or reimbursement covering purchased equipment needed to work from home. Discounts through BeRewarded.
Graduate, Auckland - 25 Jun 2024
Be-rewarded is a scheme that gives you access to discounts/cash-back through different companies, leave policies are fairly generous as-well; buy-back leave is accessible, as well as a 'be-kind' day offered to take a paid day in leave to complete charity work or similar. For graduates, a paid day for graduation is also offered. The company also offers a buy-in shares scheme which allows you to purchase shares that will be matched should you choose to keep your shares for over a year.
Graduate, Auckland - 25 Jun 2024
Towel service when you cycle in is a nice perk I use regularly. We allow employees to have company Uber accounts when they're going to be travelling and many of these people have work phones too.
Graduate, Adelaide - 24 Jun 2024
They have a 'Be Rewarded' program with various discounts and opportunities which is great!

I think it's cool how we have so many employee discounts. I think it's also useful to have the CARE programme not only for myself, but my family too.
