BAT AUSTRALIA IS LOOKING FOR A STOCK CONTROLLER

SALARY RANGE: AUD 69,500 – AUD 81,800 + 13% Superannuation + corporate market bonus

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
The logistics function in BAT is responsible for controlling inventory and ensuring delivery on time and in full to a very dynamic trade environment. It is responsible for ensuring that sufficient inventory levels are held across the multiple warehouses across Australia to meet customer demand. The cost of running the 3PL business model is one of high value and this role must ensure that activities are carried out in the most optimal way to control this cost base. It will ensure sufficient inventory levels are held in all warehouses to meet daily demand and company targets. This role will also ensure completion of inventory management controls in line with company policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Ensure Third Party Logistics provider performs inventory stock takes and cycle counts in accordance with the BAT stock policy ensuring physical and system count verification and negotiate sign-off with the 3PL prior to posting the final stock reconciliation in the computer system.
- Review and analyses Key Account specific buy plans, product ranging plans, demand and sales run rates in order to ensure sufficient stock levels in all warehouses to not impact customer order fulfilment and achieve 99.9% OTIF target in cooperation with the Planning teams. Engage regularly with BATA State Manager and teams to obtain state specific sales plan and aid delivery of those by ensuring sufficient stocks are available.
- Investigate and resolve all anomalies in terms of physical and systems stock discrepancies and if necessary, escalate to appropriate Head Office personnel and ensure a resolution is achieved within a reasonable time.
- Maintain all records in such a way that any ad hoc or planned internal and external audits or queries from Australian Border Force or Customs are dealt with in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform regular warehouse reviews and audits of saleable and non-saleable stocks, warehouse conditions and other relevant items in accordance with BATA Stock Management policy.
- Establish close working relationships with 3PL logistics provider to manage completion of activities in accordance with BATA requirements, to drive process and compliance improvements.
CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?
- Do you have a good experience in supply chain management/logistics?
- Do you have analytical experience and working with data sets in the supply chain field?
CRUCIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Tertiary Qualifications in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
- Possess at least 3 years general business experience in Supply Chain with a solid understanding of logistics, inventory management and supply planning.
- Relevant analytical and management experience in Logistics or Supply Chain, preferably associated with 3PL activity
- Strong intellect and commercial acumen with the ability to quickly grasp business concepts and understand performance levers
- Strong problem-solving skills and relationship management skills.
- Solid SAP experience, strong analytical capability, and advanced MS Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Able to work with ambiguity and not be over-reliant on structure, results-focused with high levels of self-motivation
