About Carbon Asset Solutions
Carbon Asset Solutions (CAS) is a technology platform focused on atmospheric carbon removal through soil carbon sequestration. CAS integrates precision Measurement data generated by an infield hardware unit MINS (Mobile Inelastic Neutron Scattering) with efficient and transparent Recording and Verification (MRV) software to meet the strict requirements of ISO 14064-2:2019 for project registration, validation, management, and monitoring and ISO 14064-3:2019 for verification and issuance of Carbon Credits to the net zero carbon markets.
Job description
As a Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to be part of a team developing and delivering information systems for Carbon Asset Solutions (CAS). You will serve as a key member of the Software team working with stakeholders to build scalable and maintainable software applications, as well as implement features on software roadmap and work with business on detailed requirements, including building new features and support existing MINS technology and CAS MRV systems.
For our hardware unit MINS technology, we use C# WPF to develop MINS unit applications.
CAS utilises Blazor and Azure infrastructure for its backend. We also employ blockchain technologies for certain processes, so knowledge of blockchain technologies will be considered a plus.
This position is a permanent full-time role based in Australia, Sunshine Coast and offers an opportunity to work in a fast growing company with the atmosphere and culture of a start-up.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it
As a software engineer you develop, enhance and debug new and existing software systems and deliver high-quality code in an Agile environment, with automated unit tests built into the development life cycle.
You will be Involved in the full software life cycle including Analysis, Build, Testing, Integration, Release and Support activities.
You help detecting areas in hardware/software systems that need improvement and leads the work on making those improvements.
You contribute to requirements gathering and planning, create wireframes and mock-ups, architect systems and data models, and plan a development roadmap as well as contributing to continuous improvement of our code and processes.
You specify, design, and implement functionality and behaviours of hardware/software subsystems for performance, scalability, robustness, and tight integration with the hardware.
As a software engineer you will document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
Update job knowledge and collaborate with team to brainstorm and create new products, features, or upgrades.
