How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
On-site as a Site Engineer was less flexible working 7-6pm Monday to Friday (sometimes Saturdays). As an Enviro, the hours are more flexible from 8-5pm.

In the office, typical hours are approx 8.5-9 hours. the contract stipulates 7.6 hours + any reasonable hours expected of you for your role. Managers play a big role in this. On site, the hours are typically 6:30am to 5pm, depending on your manager, and this is not negotiable. it is highly likely that you will work until 5:30pm most days. Also no uplift for working on site coming from an office role.

In the office, we have 12 hours of work, we must make good use of time. However, we still get coffee breaks between these times and if we feel we are too tired we can rest for a while and then continue working again

The company is flexible with you but there are times where long hours/weekends are required. They company does allow working from home but there is an expectation that you will get work done and put in the required hours for this.

At the moment, my manager asks for me to be in office 3 days and work from home 2. However if I give warning then I can work from home any day. Also it doesn't really matter what time you come in and out of office, as long as you getting the job done. The issue is some days you are in the office for longer than 8 hours.
Graduate, North Sydney - 24 Feb 2022
Current company higher management does not allow work from home even if you're job is capable of being performed from home. Hours are quite regular (9-5) on occasion you will need to put in extra hours to get work complete for demos or deadlines.

Graduate, Hong Kong - 24 Feb 2022
My current team is pretty set on working in the office, 8.5 hours a day mon-fri. It is standard. I would enjoy more flexible especially seeing as I have a long commute to work, but the general consensus is they prefer people working from the office.
