What projects/initiatives does your employer run and what have you worked on personally?
Allways room for improvement, particularly in the ESG space for smaller clients.

One of the really cool things CBA did was help with the deterrent/arrest of several domestic violence offenders. Offenders would send tiny small amount of money to their victims with nasty messages as transfer descriptions. CBA through their data science collated all of these and worked with the police to assist with resulting domestic violence prevention/arrest. Transactions are now blocked when transfers contain this behaviour in the description.

There is a focus on providing more loans for sustainable purposes/ companies but we still lead to companies related to fossil fuels. we have a range of community programs where we give back to local organisations and provide support to victims of domestic violence. I have not encountered any major instances of racism or sexism in the workplace.

The company's CSR projects are a staple. With a charity run and charity walk coming up (both of which i'll be involved with), as well as the opportunity to talk volunteering leave, I feel like it's very important to the company that we get out there and do good for others whenever we can.

I have been working on a project to see how the business bank can incentivise customers to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. They like to give projects and initiatives to grads, and its been really interesting to tackle.

I was impressed with the way CBA was reaching the targets we had set before the date we had actually promised to meet them. Although I wish this was more common.
