What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
Good pay, on the higher end for grad roles in the finance/banking space. The bonus structure is standard for large corporate, where most people meet expectations, as opposed to exceeding.
Graduate, Sydney - 20 Sep 2024
Comparable to the market they slightly above; bonuses are good although very hard to achieve the maximum threshold.
Graduate, Melbourne - 13 Sep 2024
Bonuses happen yearly and are fair in relation to your performance review outcomes.
Graduate, Sydney - 13 Sep 2024
Pay is relatively low considering the amount of work and impact we have. The same role in tech would pay significantly higher.
Graduate, Sydney - 13 Sep 2024
I think they are slightly better than other grad programs.
Graduate, Sydney - 13 Sep 2024
Pay is good for grad salary, with roll off salaries being very generous. Bonuses seem to be quite good, although getting 100% of the max bonus is quite difficult
Graduate, Melbourne - 13 Sep 2024
The Base pay is great. I think the STVR incentive program should not be the same for all graduates, as it defeats the purpose of an STVR (that is, I have no control over the outcome).
Graduate, Sydney - 12 Sep 2024
As a graduate, I have not had enough exposure towards bonuses and pay.
Graduate, Sydney - 12 Sep 2024
I have a good salary for my experience and title but unsure of the potential for growth. We also receive bonuses inline with company and personal performance
Insights Analyst (previous Graduate), Sydney - 12 Sep 2024
I think its very competitive and great place to start but we would always like a bit more but I'm satisfied with it
Graduate, Melbourne - 12 Sep 2024
It is great, I feel it is sufficient as a reflection on the hard work you have done throughout the year.
Graduate, Sydney - 12 Sep 2024
My pay is average across other banking graduate opportunities, with the bonus system having the same idea.
Graduate, Sydney - 11 Sep 2024
Good. I think they are competitive compared to other companies in the industry.
Graduate, Sydney - 11 Sep 2024
I've yet to receive a bonus so I can't really comment on that but as a graduate, I'm very happy with the pay. The jump from graduate to full on engineer is quite large so I'm excited for that.
Graduate, Melbourne - 11 Sep 2024
i think its fairly renumerated. I saw that we don't get paid overtime, but it is assumed to be included in the salary package. Its okay, for a grad.
Graduate, Sydney - 11 Sep 2024
I think having such a bonus heavy pay structure can promote behaviours that are unsavoury. I think it would be more appropriate to have a higher base pay and a smaller bonus structure. OR change the way that bonuses are calculated to reduce opportunity for dishonestly.
Accounts Manager (previous Grad), Brisbane - 11 Sep 2024
I think the pay is quite competitive for data science. However, the bonus structure is a bit misleading because barely anyone actually receives their full bonus. For example, this year, if you met expectations you can only receive 40-60% of your bonus which I don't think is fair. From talking to people who work at other companies if you meet expectations you receive your full bonus.

It's not the best for a grad, but the promotion from a grad to analyst position is pretty high. After that it's not that much in between promotions, maybe $20k which is not alot compared to industry.
Graduate, Sydney - 11 Sep 2024
I think we are paid very generously and the bonuses are good too.
Graduate, Melbourne - 11 Sep 2024
Have not been advised for first bonus. Good opportunity for grads to work harder through the potential of earning extra
Graduate, Adelaide - 11 Sep 2024
What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
Wide variety of discounts, regular access to free food in the local area around the office.
Graduate, Sydney - 20 Sep 2024
1. Lots of shopping discounts with brand partners. 2. Own health insurance company for staff members. 3. Product discounts. 4. Tickets to industry events.
Graduate, Melbourne - 13 Sep 2024
Best perks are the Staff discounts that we receive at many different stores, including clothes, tech and cars. We also receive great benefits for bank products at CBA with fees waived on some cards.
Graduate, Sydney - 13 Sep 2024
Best perk is the social aspect. We have alot of social initiatives that aim to foster a strong team spirit.

Graduate, Melbourne - 12 Sep 2024
There are great discounts on movie tickets. I have used a car rental staff deal which saved me almost 50%.
Graduate, Sydney - 12 Sep 2024
Staff Deals at CBA is very good. Life leave at CBA is a great concept and promotes people to take leave. Not having to pay credit card fees and reduced brokerage costs for CommSee is great and means I can stay with CBA as I am always getting the best rate.
Graduate, Sydney - 11 Sep 2024
We have all of the above. A great benefits program in terms of banking benefits but also random ones such as skincare discounts or hotel stay discounts. I think more competitive discount rates would be better though.
Graduate, Sydney - 11 Sep 2024
CBA offers a whole suite of "unusual" perks through its recognition programs, staff discounts, and more. I've not taken as much advantage as I probably should just yet but when I eventually move out to my own place, a bulk of my purchasing will be done through the CBA staff discounts portal.
Graduate, Melbourne - 11 Sep 2024
Some company discounts but nothing significant
Graduate, Sydney - 11 Sep 2024
i really enjoyed that the company lets me travel, but i notice that is only really part of the grad program and not extended to the other employees.
Graduate, Sydney - 11 Sep 2024
I wish we still had the half price memberships at Goodlife. Having perks for things that promote health, and fitness is a great idea as being healthier and exercising make your 'brain sharper', you feel better, and you will likely perform better at work.
Accounts Manager (previous Grad), Brisbane - 11 Sep 2024
Volunteering leave They have good staff deals but they change - one time I got free tickets to the Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House
Associate, Sydney - 11 Sep 2024
Alot of staff benefits so just discounts and free stuff here and there. Some decent discounts on home loans and stuff.
Graduate, Sydney - 11 Sep 2024
You can use recognition points to purchase vouchers for many shops and also we get discounts at many retailers. You can go into negative leave and can also purchase leave. Unlimited volunteering leave is another great perk.
Graduate, Melbourne - 11 Sep 2024
JB hifi, helped me get my office at home set up cost effectively
Graduate, Adelaide - 11 Sep 2024
