How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
The teams I have worked in have all been clear with what type of arrangements work for them for wfh/flex hours. I have found each team to have been inclusive, accommodating and adaptive with my requests for work arrangements.

Very satisfied. I don't feel that I have to bring work home with me and can switch off at the end of the day. We do have a graduate certificate that we complete as part of the graduate program but we are given some time to work on it in the office as it is a part of our work experience. However, you do have to do some of the assignments work outside of work hours.

My company is flexible with hours worked. You are allowed to complete your working hours between 7am and 7pm each day.

Very flexible ! I have a good work life balance.

Very flexible. It is dependant on your line area but on a whole there is a lot of flexibility and understanding with different work hours. Supervisors, in my experience, prioritise your wellbeing and are happy for you to work from home or the office and to choose your hours.

Very flexible. I can work any time from 7am to 7pm

- very flexible ('flex time': if you need to stay back to complete time-critical work, you can use that accrued extra time to, for example, leave work early the next day with no change to your pay/leave entitlements)

Decently - but we're understaffed so sometimes it feels like you gotta work

Generally standard public service hours (8:30-5 or so), workflow changes through the year.
Midlevel, Canberra - 23 Feb 2021
Very flexible, I am not a morning person/pre-existing conditions and therefore I start a little later than most.

My office is very flexible when it comes to flexible working arrangements.

Hours are quite flexible, but there can be significant and unnecessary hoops to jump through if you want more permanent flexibility. E.G. If I have a runny nose and want to work from home, I can organise that on the day with nothing more than a phonecall. But, if I want to work every friday from home, then that's much more difficult to arrange.

Extremely flexible. I can determine starting and ending hours with my supervisor and easily make arrangements to work from home or take time off for medical or other reasons.

Very flexible with hours for starting late/finishing early or needing to duck out for an appointment. They allow me to work remotely from brisbane so I can care for my family.

I work standard 9am to 5pm. I work one day a week from home and this was very easy to set up with my employer. Employer utilises flex hours

Relatively flexible! Can be easy to shift around your schedule depending on your role and supervisor
Graduate, Canberra - 22 Feb 2021
Very flexible. There are opportunities to negotiate working hours, working from home, etc. So that all lifestyles can be accommodated.
Midlevel, Canberra - 22 Feb 2021
The standard work day is 7.5 Hours, and there is a lot of flexibility to arrange it. For example, I work later hours (9:30-5:30 or 10:00-6:00) depending on the office as this suits my lifestyle and the hours when I am most productive (between 4-6pm!).
