The Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) and the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI) have come together to create an award-winning interagency graduate program. It provides a multidisciplinary experience in policy, industry regulation, consumer protection, labour relations, energy, tourism, international trade, defence, science and innovation.
The 18-month program aims to build the skills, experience and networks required for a successful and rewarding career in the public sector. A customised rotational plan provides graduates with a range of opportunities to rotate through diverse business areas across our 2 agencies. You will have the opportunity to work on state-wide projects and initiatives, using your skills and knowledge to help improve the lives of the West Australian community.
Initial employment is on a fixed-term basis, commencing January 2024, with the provision for permanent appointment following the successful completion of the first 12-months.

We are looking for graduates who have finished their degree in 2021, 2022 or by December 2023 (in a discipline relevant to the position you are applying for), with a strong willingness to learn, collaborate with team members and stakeholders, and possess excellent research, analytical, and written skills.
