How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
My team is very flexible, I work roughly 37.5 hours per week, use flex time as needed, and can work from home a couple of days a week if I like.

Treasury is reasonably flexible when it comes to work hours. Over a busy period, I had to stay in the office longer but, as a result of the extra time accrued in the office, I was able to take two days off.

7.5 a day, with flex available. Pretty flexible as long as actively participating and getting work done

My work hours are very standard and flexible where I need. I occasionally work longer hours in peak periods but nothing unreasonable.

Work life balance is really great at SIG relative to other financial firms

I work the hours needed to complete my work; I am not expected to generally work past 530 which is great. and If i do, it is out of my own volition, and I understand that it may need to happen to complete work on time Flex time is a great addition, and it allows us to be flexible with our work hours when need be. It can help us accommodate appointments into the week very easily and supportive communication with my time facilitates that as well.

Work is flexible between office and home and interstate. Treasury cannot be faulted here.

I generally work 8 hours a day between the hours of 8:30 and 5:30. This is perfectly reasonable and fits with my other commitments. My hours could be more flexible however if that was required. In addition, the flex/time in lieu policy at Treasury means I can gain any our beyond standard hours can claimed back at a later date.

There is a big enough level of flexibility, and I like spending most days in the office

Pretty flexible, however I find it is often the typical 9-5 because most people are in the office at that time.

extremely flexible. I can often work more hours if i know i will have an appointment taking up some time later in the week

We have really flexible work hours, 7am to 7pm. As long as you do your 7.5 hours somewhere there, it is fine. I often come in around 9.20 because I am a late riser, and that is totally fine. Additionally, people make sure you take breaks and don't work too late when there is stuff on, obviously there is a time and place for staying late - but they make sure when you do do it you have a good reason. And the ability to accrue flex - I love it.

I work 37.5 hours a week which is standard in Treasury, and there is a lot of flexibility in how these hours are worked, I know others work 7am to 3:30pm because it works for them, and managers are usually quite comfortable letting people work the hours they need to work. There is also the flex time system, where working extra hours builds up flex time to be taken off work later. This system is very good for giving the flexibility to work longer hours to fulfil major tasks while maintaining work/life balance, and it is still not expected that anyone work late if they aren’t willing to accrue the flex.

The Treasury has avenues to apply for flexible work and maintains an open conversation on the issue. Flexi work is also excellent.

My standard week is 37.5 hours however I usually work a bit more than this. I get flextime though which means that any hours worked above standard hours go to flex which can be accrued and taken as leave- this is a great initiative for supporting work/life balance. Technically we are allowed to work within the bandwith of 7am-7pm however in my division it is expected that your hours are closer to normal business hours (8:30-5:00 usually).

It varies team to team, but mine are super flexible and very understanding of needing flexibility - not just for things like doctors appointments, but also fun things!
