I really like the Graduate program training they offer to us graduates. I am also interested in more internal face to face and online training TMR offers through other companies and Accerlate program.
Graduate, Gold Coast - 13 Sep 2024
There's a lot, very satisfied with both informal and formal training

Accelerate has a lot of good information but can be overwhelming. However, on the job training throughout my rotations have been great and I have learnt a lot from my team members. Grad specific training ie huddle are great networking and learning moments. I highly recommend all engineers attend 'Constructionarium Australia' workshops. I learnt a lot, it was a valuable experience.

I received a formal certification in Agile Project Management and receive adhoc training on unfamiliar concepts and technologies as required.

They always provide many regular program to develop one's career

A bit patchy at first.

Agile training was provided for the team over two days in March. This training was very educational for me, but the learnings have not been put into practise in my team. The Queensland Government Digital Graduate Program also provides training sessions every few months. These are great to develop professional skills for working in government and to meet other graduates.

Trainings are quite useful and often you have to take the call if you would like to attend. I recently had a pavement training which was quite helpful and provide insightful information about rehabilitation, rehab for bridges, shoulder repairs and so on.
Graduate, Brisbane - 31 Jul 2024
Most training has been on field and on the job, this has been a challenge as sometimes you can fall behind or lack guidance.
Graduate, Brisbane - 31 Jul 2024
I have had training in personal development and technical aspects of sealing and speed analysis.
Graduate, Rockhampton - 31 Jul 2024
Many training programs available including access to subscription services such as LinkedIn Learning. There is also a lot of training sessions sent out that employees can elect to take part of free of charge. Training is self-motivated and needs to be managed within workload with very little dedicated time provided to complete.
Graduate, Brisbane - 15 Jul 2024
I have been offered ample training and development opportunities throughout my role both internal to the graduate program and outside. I have undertaken IAP2 Community and Stakeholder Engagement training and many other smaller trainings and workshops relevant to my area of work.
Graduate, Gold Coast - 10 Jul 2024
Graduates will attend a few week-long training sessions with each other. This helps building their network early, share their experience and provide peer support. The company also encourages regular online personal training courses, group workshops. The most important skills I have learnt informally is how to communicate effectively.
Graduate, Brisbane - 26 Jun 2024
TMR provides many training opportunities which I highly value. I have been at TMR for 7 months and so far have undertaken a variety of training programs (both internal and external) which allows me to develop and refine my skills.
Graduate, Gold Coast - 25 Jun 2024
The grad program hasn't necessarily provided as much structured training as I would have expected, although this is understandable as the cohort (and TMR) is so large. Upon arriving, there was also some confusion with the logistics of starting that probably been handled better, but this was due to the team not having taken a grad for a while.
Graduate, Brisbane - 25 Jun 2024
I participate in a number of communities of practice which I think provide a great holistic look at how some streams operate.
AO5, Brisbane - 25 Jun 2024
This company is very good at training, it is very enjoyable as well as educational.
Graduate, Cairns - 25 Jun 2024
As part of the grad program I have had whole week blocks of training - learning about governance, negotiation, self-values, self-motivations, 'how to sell yourself' as well as what other branches within the department do. On the job training has varied depending on the supervisor/team from reading standards to hand-one/field work to one-on-one tasks all these types of training included immediate feedback and communication which always helps to improve.
Graduate, Brisbane - 24 Jun 2024
I am apart of the graduate program which offers a mentor, weekly check-ins with my supervisor, 4 grad huddles which are week long training sessions, and 2-6 rotation opportunities. We have access to internal learning module systems, LinkedIn learning and external training from other departments such as the fair work ombudsman.
Graduate, Brisbane - 24 Jun 2024
The graduate huddles have been great learning experiences for me. I learnt quite a few on the job skills just from these few day sessions. I have also been given the chance to act up in different roles which I think I have learnt the most in and have been able to bring back to the grad program and my team
