I feel that the workplace is very diverse as the teams I have worked in have had people with very different backgrounds. The EBA also has a range of inclusions for different needs, but it is hard for me to comment on the quality of those.

I am a Christian and believe that these things are okay and acceptable as long as they are kept to themselves. I don't think it is reasonable to expect others to change to accommodate someone else's desires, especially when it goes against everything you believe. In this regard, the company should make it more acceptable to be able to speak your mind against LGBT etc topics as that aligns with my personal beliefs - without fear of being fired.

The company is very supportive of all groups, communities and cultures and I believe supports diversity really well. It is a great place to work with such a diverse group of people. Maternity leave is also now great for those yet or wanting to have kids and spend the invaluable time with the kids. Unfortunately, I had children prior to starting with the company and did not have the benefit of time off work.

Power engineering is a male-dominated industry. As far as I know, EQL doesn't specifically target or recruit people from ethnic minorities and the LGBTIQA+ community or women. They strongly encourage them to apply though. Those in the office are accepting of people from all backgrounds.

Committed to diversity on basically all fronts: gender, cultural, sexual identity, etc. Focus throughout all processes such as recruitment, retention, promotion, etc. Naturally there are less women in technical roles but it is generally equivalent to national/university percentages - needs a bit more work but not just an Energy Queensland problem.
