How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
My work hours are flexible daily, as I am able to start work at any time from 6 - 9:30. I work 8.5 hour days, which is pretty standard.

I have flexibility to choose up to two work-from-home days each week. I think the policy is that you must spend at least 50% of your work week in the office but I am not certain.

I wish I would be able to work from home more as I have to travel a long way to get to the office and that is getting very tiring on my body.
Graduate, Brisbane - 12 Sep 2024
I try and stay within my hours range specified by my timesheet as a minimum, however, when life throws you an issue (were you have to leave early or sort something out) the business is supportive and trusts its employees to finalise work whether from Home or catch-up on the hours the next day.

The work life balance and flexibility that you are offered at Energy Qld is great. There is the option to work from home for a set number of days each week as well.
Graduate, Brisbane - 12 Sep 2024
The schedule is 72 hours a fortnight which offers a weekday off every 2 weeks. The company is flexible with starting and finishing time and offers work from home a few days a week.
Graduate, Brisbane - 16 Aug 2024
The company and teams are very flexible with working from home arrangements, site visits and other arrangements that allow an individual to work as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Graduate, Brisbane - 13 Aug 2024
There are very flexible with working arrangements when my life/family requires. Can generally work from home 2 days a fortnight once up to speed with current rotation.
Graduate, Toowoomba - 13 Aug 2024
72hr/fortnight (9-day). Flexibility to work from home.
Graduate, Brisbane - 13 Aug 2024
72 hours per week, and we are on a 9-day fortnight. So usually, we spent usually around 8.5 hours at work (incl. 30 min lunch). Starting and finishing are quite flexible as well. The 9 day fortnight leads to an rostered day off every fortnight, which is nice as well.
Graduate, Brisbane - 12 Aug 2024
My work hours and arrangements are flexible.
Graduate, Brisbane - 09 Aug 2024
The company is quite flexible with start and finish times if it suits the team and supervisors. This is dependent on the team as some field type positions need to align with field crews for example. As a graduate work from home may be limited depending on what your role is at any given time and if experience allows.
Graduate, Rockhampton - 09 Aug 2024
In most teams I have been in there is allowances for flexibility in work hours and options for 8,9, and 10 day fortnight shifts.
Graduate, Brisbane - 09 Nov 2023
The work hours are incredibly flexible. We work a 9 day fortnight and are able to bank the RDO for whenever we need. Furthermore, there is ample opportunity to work from home.
Graduate, Cairns - 06 Nov 2023
Work hours are very flexible.

8 hour days, 9 day fortnights, 2-days per week WFH. Never expected to work beyond rostered hours.
Graduate, Brisbane - 25 Oct 2023
I start work early. I have a RDO, though option is not given to increase from a 9 day to a 10 day work fortnight as a graduate.
Graduate, Rockhampton - 25 Oct 2023
EQL has very good working hours. 72.5 hours per fortnight and a 9-day fortnight. Overtime is paid and not expected. This is one of the biggest reasons I choose EQL over other companies. Office hours are 6-6 giving you the flexibility to work when you want. You can even do split days. You can work from home when you like however I highly recommend graduates go to the office and that is the best way to learn and network.
Graduate, Brisbane - 19 Oct 2023
9 day fortnight, with the option to bank RDO's. 8.5hr days. Ability to wfh up to 2 days per week & sometimes these days can change depending on your personal schedule (although wfh arrangements are generally dependant on your team/supervisor, and not relevant for a small handful of teams such as Field rotation)
Graduate, Brisbane - 17 Oct 2023
In my current role as a graduate my working hours would be dependent on both the team that I am rotating through and department meetings where we liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
