Evolution Mining offers several roles that fit the nature of the study. Here are the following requirements needed for each role:
The Mining Engineering team at Evolution has responsibility for the design, planning, monitoring and reporting of mine production and coordination of activities to ensure compliance with the plan, procedures and standards.
Geotechnical Engineers at Evolution undertake a wide range of activities, including data collection for geotechnical models, design and analysis of the open pit and underground excavations, monitoring and risk assessment whilst striving to produce safe, practical and economic designs. Graduate Geotechnical Engineers will gain additional exposure by working with key functions including Mining Engineering, Geology, Surveying and TSF (Tailings Storage Facility).
The Environmental and Sustainability function at Evolution works with the operations teams to provide a safe working environment, reduce risk, and protect the environment. Through the implementation of Health & Safety systems and processes, the team works to reduce workplace injury rates. The Health & Safety team must also monitor changes to mining regulations and ensure legal compliance.
A Mine Surveyor provides timely and accurate survey support for the mine operations daily and ensures all routine surveying tasks are carried out. Typical duties would involve the set out of planned drilling, drill areas and excavations, ore/waste delineation and mark-ups, weekly stockpile volume updates and end of monthly surveys, maintenance of all survey and monitoring equipment, providing the mining team with accurate data for the weekly and monthly mine plan, survey data integration with the Mine dispatch system, maintain and validate the survey database, and surface prism monitoring.
The Mechanical Engineering team at Evolution has responsibility for the reliability, asset management and continuous improvement of the process plant and associated infrastructure. They are responsible for ensuring the mechanical fixed plant is fit for purpose and safe for use in accordance with applicable laws and standards.
The Electrical Engineering team at Evolution has the responsibility to provide technical advice, engineered designs, condition monitoring and solutions to support the operations and maintenance departments to increase plant reliability, performance, safety, and cost efficiency.
Metallurgists at Evolution are responsible for ensuring that key plant operating parameters remain within target and are accurately reported. They also monitor and ensure that consumption of process consumables remains in line with budget and they carry out metallurgical test work and trials that are aimed at improving gold recovery, processing efficiencies and costs.
The IT function at Evolution will provide the vacation student with exposure to Windows operating systems 10/server, active directory, Physical and WiFi networks, and Type 1 & 2 Hypervisors
