Our Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to kick-start their career as an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be involved with on-site construction projects and build your skills in the fabrication, installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems and structural elements.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with a range of construction and maintenance/refurbishment tasks on and around waste water treatment plants and related infrastructure
- Setup and adjustment of machines and equipment
- Operation of machinery/tools
- Utilising precision measuring instruments
- Operating various manual and powered hand tools
- Working in a safe, professional, and timely manner, following all standards and procedures
- Performing all work to a high-quality standard
How you’ll connect to the role:
You will have the ability to undertake all aspects of an Apprenticeship, including formal training and assessments along with:
- Excellent communication skills
- Hard working with a can-do attitude and ability to show initiative
- A high degree of enthusiasm and drive, with a strong desire to deliver positive outcomes as part of a team
- A practical mindset, with a hands-on approach to getting things done
- Drivers licence, own transport
- Australian or New Zealand Citizenship
