What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
Fairly decent as a starting salary - no overtime though.
Graduate, Melbourne - 03 Jul 2024
As previously stated, the rate of pay is the area GT is not competitive in. However i think this is more than made up for in the relaxed and flexible working conditions.
Graduate, Adelaide - 01 Jul 2024
I would prefer for it to be plus super instead of inclusive. Would also prefer fortnightly pay but I guess that's just me coming from a fortnight based pay system to a monthly so personal adjustment. I have not had a bonus yet so not sure how they work.
Graduate, Brisbane - 27 Jun 2024
This is a hard question, since we have to evaluate the salary at the same level as the other accounting firms. Compared to the big 4, I would say we are better because the salaries are aligned and we do not do a copious amount of after hours as I have heard from multiple people who worked in these companies. If we compare with an in house accountant, then the gaps can be huge. Overall, I think that like everyone else, we would always like to have a higher salary, but within these requirements, Grant Thornton salary is satisfactory.

It appears some people in the team are not fully satisfied with their pay. Currently, I am satisfied with mine. I am not aware of any bonuses at the company.
Graduate, Melbourne - 26 Jun 2024
Fairly happy with pay, seems to be slightly above average as an undergraduate/graduate.
Graduate, Perth - 26 Jun 2024
I am unsure about the pay as i havent been at the company for very long, but i believe it is very competitive in the market.
Graduate, Melbourne - 26 Jun 2024
Pay is small
Graduate, Melbourne - 26 Jun 2024
My current salary as a graduate is modest, which is typical for entry-level positions. While the starting salary may be lower, the potential for growth and advancement is promising. The opportunities for career development and learning outweigh the initial salary considerations, making it a valuable investment in my career path.
Graduate, Melbourne - 26 Jun 2024

Pay varies in different states but pay at GT is competitive in the professional services industry.
Graduate, Sydney - 31 Aug 2023
I feel like as I'm just starting out in to the corporate world, I feel my pay is reasonable as I started with 0 experience. I will have to work my way up to get a raise and higher pay :)
Graduate, Adelaide - 31 Aug 2023
Pay is down in Cairns compared to other companies in Cairns
Graduate, Cairns - 31 Aug 2023
I think my pay is good at my current level. I am happy with it at this time. Although, it would be good if the figure was inclusive of superannuation so my base was higher. I haven't experienced bonuses yet.
Graduate, Sydney - 29 Aug 2023
Bonuses not sure how they work. Salary is generous in comparison to the field
Graduate, Brisbane - 23 Aug 2023
Annual salary package, about average pay on the market within similar roles
Graduate, Brisbane - 23 Aug 2023
I believe this is a fair trade off for the work life balance you get when you work at Grant Thornton. Nevertheless, it's a common view around GT that pay is low. Will note that salary is similar to what is offered at Big 4/professional accounting as well.
Graduate, Perth - 23 Aug 2023
It's fine
Graduate, Melbourne - 23 Aug 2023
Pay is just below average for the role.

GYM membership - I have not used it yet but I think its great they think about our health. Lunches - celebrating end of financial year, xmas lunches and service line line lunches are great - we get to socialise and it also provides team building getting to know out team in an informal setting. The food part is brilliant. Oh also when we have office lunches or bake offs, Melbourne cup - oh and that the kitchen always has fresh fruit, nibbles, free coffee and tea :)

Graduate, Brisbane - 27 Jun 2024
The 9 day fortnight is the best perk. It is implemented well within my team but am not sure if other teams have the same experience.
Graduate, Melbourne - 26 Jun 2024
Study leave for CA, GoodLife gym membership, CA paid for, 9 day fortnight (1 day of recharge) IF your manager deems appropriate and you have the capacity. Advertised as a 9 day fortnight but - its not really - you are expected to still get the same amount of work done/chargeable hours. Not always accessible to everyone equally.

Graduate, Melbourne - 26 Jun 2024
9 day working fortnights during quiet periods has been amazing. It helps incentivise me to finish my work earlier so I can get time off. Free gym, and travel expenses can be claimed.
