As part of our assessments and permissions team, we have several positions available where you would be working to protect the Marine Park whilst providing for a range of sustainable user experiences varying from tourism, education, research, facilities and monitoring.
The position will assess permit applications in accordance with the relevant legislation, policies and guidelines; make recommendations; and provide relevant advice on permissions and related conditions. You will be responsible for a range of moderately complex tasks with a key focus on taking a risk-based approach to impact assessments, including recommending mitigation and management for proposed activities in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and provision of post-permit advice.
