As there are no offices (we hot desk), all managers are easily accessible. They are friendly, constructive in their feedback, and very supportive. I feel very comfortable with my managers.

The formal and informal mentoring programs are very supportive. I always feel like I can approach the more senior lawyers above me for assistance.

Managers very accessible. Definitely good mentors when they have the time to be, but they're understandably extremely busy and don't always have the time to do this. My previous manager was great with feedback and recognition, always knew where I stand. Haven't had opportunity to see how current manager deals with these things but team feedback seems to be mostly positive.

My managers are just a phone call away. They provide great feedback and if you want more you can just ask.

my supervising partner is my supervising partner, and she essentially acts as my manager. She is an outstanding person to work for. She has been invested in my wellbeing and development since day 1. There has not been a single day this year that she has not spoken to me to check in on how I am going. Communication with her is easy, we get along very well. Feedback is always timely and honest. I am definitely recognised for good work - she will send teamwide emails recognising the work of any person in the team who deserves it. I feel very privileged to work for my supervising partner.

All the seniors and partners I have worked with so far have been fantastic mentors, taking time to coach and guide me where required. Feedback is ongoing and always constructive.

Some. Very dependent. Some have an insane amount of time to share knowledge with me, others do not.

Outside the property team in GI it is hard to get work from others

some are better than others. Sometimes you do send work back and receive no feedback, however this is likely chalked up to how busy they are. Whilst others are very willing to give feedback.

The mentors are quite accessible and easily contactable. They give both informal and formal feedback which is really useful.

All of my mentors have been accessible and lovely to work with, whether that is my first year lawyer buddy, a senior associate mentor or a supervising partner. Everyone has had time and made themselves available from a work sense, but also on a personable level.

The managers are very accessible and always willing to have a coffee, take a phone call, email or teams message. As grads we are provided with buddies, mentors and a supervising partner. The mentors I have had are hands on, willing to provide guidance and teach us anything and everything.

All managers are accessible and willing to offer feedback on how you can improve. They also care about you and want to see you succeed, but they don't want you to burn out either. Mental health is a big thing at Hall & Wilcox to ensure everyone is as mentally well as they can be.
