What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
The pay at the firm is good and relatively competitive for the industry. Bonuses are discretionary, but from what I gather from conversation, they are hard to receive.
Graduate, Sydney - 23 Aug 2024
The pay is a little bit lower than at other comparable firms for graduate salaries.
Graduate, Melbourne - 23 Aug 2024
For a graduate, I think we are very lucky to be on the salary that we are. However, considering what the current economy is like - more money would always be better. I think the wages are mostly competitive with similar-sized firms. Salary is good but considering how much debt I have from law school - more would obviously be great! Bonus structure isn't entirely clear to me but there doesn't seem to be much (or it's not communicated). Other perks like the fitness credit and WFH reimbursement is great.

The firm has a competitive rate.
Graduate, Sydney - 31 Jul 2024
I have no comparison but it seems pretty good...
Graduate, Melbourne - 31 Jul 2024

Graduate, Perth - 30 Jul 2024
Very competitive salary. I feel I am well remunerated for my role and responsibilities.
Graduate, Sydney - 30 Jul 2024
No Bonuses. Pay is good for a graduate, but given rising cost of living in Brisbane could be higher to match Melbourne
Graduate, Brisbane - 30 Jul 2024
Pay seems average in comparison to other firms, however I hope this increases in the future
Graduate, Brisbane - 30 Jul 2024
Very structured during the first two years. Bonuses do not apply to graduates so I can't comment.
Graduate, Sydney - 30 Jul 2024
Graduate salary is on the lower end compared to peers at similar sized firms, though it is nothing I am unhappy about (I prefer to be working at Hall & Wilcox H than another firm)
Graduate, Melbourne - 15 Jul 2024
I am very satisfied with my pay. I do wish that super was additional and not included in our package.
Graduate, Melbourne - 12 Jul 2024
For the first few years there is no opportunity for bonus and pay is stepped increases not performance based. This apparently changes at 3PQE.

Although a good salary, given the current climate with cost of living it can almost be disheartening to see the profits the company is making knowing some weeks I'm just scraping by.
Graduate, Other (Please specify) - Newcastle - 11 Jul 2024
I think our company is mostly aligned with market rates, perhaps somewhat on the lower end however the non financial perks are significant.

Pay is slightly lower than comparable firms.

As a graduate, I am very happy with our pay. Bonuses are not relevant to us. In terms of remuneration reviews, it is not entirely clear at this stage how pay is determined
Graduate, Sydney - 04 Jul 2024
for my role I am happy with the pay
Graduate, Darwin - 04 Jul 2024
I am happy with my pay.
Graduate, Sydney - 03 Jul 2024
I believe it is on the lower end of the mid-tiers in Brisbane. The grad pay at this firm also differentiates between the offices, I think the Sydney/Melbourne grads were on about $10k higher.
