About the role
Reporting to the Project Governance & Portfolio Performance Manager the Graduate Portfolio Analyst is responsible for supporting the delivery of best practice project management through the Horizon Power Project Management Methodology.
You will provide support with project budgets and validation, performance and financial tracking of projects and the portfolio, financial modeling and reporting, benefits identification, and realization analysis.
Key responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
• Providing portfolio reporting and analytics, and support the Governance and PMM processes
• Assist the collection and analysis of project status and performance metrics
• Conduct health checks for all projects to enable projects and identify areas for improvement and assurance to the leadership team so that the project is set up for success
• Create project financial modeling as required
• Undertake portfolio performance reporting, including milestone, financial, resource and benefits tracking
• Analyse the defined program goals and targets, and communicate requirements and changes needed to optimize the project
• Report on project deliverables and schedules, identifying when project anomalies are discovered
• Coordinate and ensure effective application of PMM toolsets to support adherence to project management methodology
• Supporting Project Directors, Project Managers, and Support Staff by HP’s Project Management Methodology Administration of the PMM Toolsets including user management and access, UAT of upgrades, and maintenance of datasets and workflows
• Maintenance and coordination of standardized project and portfolio reporting
About you
In addition to sharing our passion, to be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following:
• Hold a Tertiary Degree in Business, Commerce, or related field
• Understanding of Project Management Methodologies and application to a standard suite of project documentation in all project phases
• Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI report writing
• Ability to interrogate a data set and provide a concise analysis including key insights that can be communicated to a wide audience
• Strong verbal, analytical, research, and problem solving skills
• Ability to coordinate and schedule multiple tasks, projects, and calendars
• Previous experience in program and project support/management is desirable
• Ability to demonstrate problem-solving capabilities.
• A willingness to explore new approaches and an ability to respond readily to changing circumstances and opportunities
