Very supportive of gender diversity through recruitment, promotion, parental leave policies etc. There are committees for cultural diversity and LGBTQIA+ people, but no formal commitments to diversity. There are very few culturally diverse people in the Perth office.

The firm has a LGBTQIA+ network, cultural diversity group and women in business support network. The firm also has a very generous parental leave policy and the graduate recruitment process is blind/non-bias.

Our firm is quite diverse and has a very important parental leave policy. Further, our firm often engages in LGBTIQA+ initiatives, and has an important network program called LINK. While partners are predominantly male and from a Western background, there are many women and women of colour in senior positions.

KWM promotes diversity through various policies, events and training. I have noticed a real focus on diversity, and a desire to have conversations about it, in my time here.

I have not noticed any overt issues or problems with diversity at all. I think taking maternity leave and coming back part time or afterwards at all can be quite difficult generally with the workload. Partners do seem pretty supportive though.

There are Gender and LGBTQI+ working groups that run events and initiatives. Maternity/Paternity leave seems quite good.

What does your company do to attract applicants from less privileged backgrounds?
We have various internship type programs for lawyers and personal assistants. In the interview process they seem to be flexible in who they give clerkships to, we have very diverse groups coming through.
