Salary at King & Wood Mallesons

$96,000 including superannuation. Pay raise when you move into second rotation, another pay raise when you move into your third rotation, and one more when you settle. Grads are not eligible for bonuses.

The graduate salary at KWM is generous and competitive. My satisfaction with my pay will however ultimately depend on the number of hours I work.

Our pay is generally good, but on the lower end of top-tier law firms. The bonus structure is a little convoluted or not explained to junior lawyers.

Not enough pay transparency in general, and transparency around what you get paid at more senior levels. I don't think bonuses are worth the extra hours you have to do to get them.

We get free corporate gym membership, after hours transport / dinner, and can swap pay for leave. I wish we had better deals on private health insurance - the corporate discounts on offer are not that great.

There have been some cool opportunities like tickets to pro bono fundraising events.

Team lunches, coffees, drinks being paid for. Ubers to and from work social events. We have a chef, so we get freshly baked treats on some days.

The subsidised cafe is great - really good and reasonably price food. There is a free fitness first membership.

The in-house cafe is AMAZING. Fresh food at cost prices. Makes me super excited every day!

Level 60 subsidised kitchen.

I appreciate that the firm pays for my gym membership and involvement in social sports. The firm is also sponsoring some of us to compete in a triathlon.
