Opportunity Expired
At Newcrest, it's our vision to be the Miner of Choice.
The Australian Association of Graduate Employers has ranked Newcrest Mining in the Top 75 Graduate Employers for 2023 as voted by graduates.
What We Offer
Get ready to level up your mining game with our 2-year grad program. You’ll get experiences you won’t find anywhere else. You’ll be rotating between 12 months at our Telfer site in WA on a FIFO schedule and another 12 months at our Cadia site in Orange, NSW. A few select disciplines might even include a rotation to the HQ in Melbourne or Perth.
These rotations will set your mining career up for success as you will be exposed to vastly different mining methods and deposit styles. And as we also have mine sites in PNG and Canada, the international opportunities are very real beyond your graduate program.
We're all about your growth. As part of the program, you'll also get to spend a week in Melbourne meeting all our other Australian graduates, exploring the city, building relationships, and working on your development goals and leadership skills.
Your Control Systems/Analytic Graduate program will include control system design, installation, maintenance and program. You will also have exposure to testing systems, performing breakdown responses, corrective maintenance and configuration, PLC/DLC programming fibre network connections, instrumentation and radio systems and much more!
Our Graduate Program will commence in January 2024.
Who are we looking for?
We're on the hunt for recent or soon-to-be graduates with a degree that qualifies them to work in any one of these disciplines:
If you're resourceful, resilient, and eager to learn, then we want you! Our commitment to safety and your personal growth sets us apart from the rest!
The Recruitment Process
Our recruitment process is simple, modern and empowering. Start by applying online and then show us your skills in a video interview. If you're successful, you'll move on to a virtual interview via MS Teams, and then just complete your medical and police checks.
Remember, you must have unrestricted working rights in Australia to be considered and unfortunately, sponsorship is not available. We also cannot accept those on Working Holiday Visas.
