Corporate Social Responsibility at Nous Group

Nous Group has delivered $6 million in subsidised consulting through our Community Partnerships Scheme, supporting over 100 organisations and driving positive outcomes across social, cultural, economic, and environmental areas. Evidencing our commitment to social responsibility, our Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan directs our collective efforts towards enhancing the self-determination and future of First Nations Australians. Operationally, we uphold sustainability through eco-conscious travel and procurement practices, waste reduction, emissions targets, and compensating for residual emissions. Collaborative initiatives with Whitelion, Canteen, Save the Children, and Mission Australia extend our community impact, alongside our involvement with Job Support and partnerships like those with 180 Degrees Consulting and CareerTrackers which facilitate employment opportunities for diverse groups including those with disabilities and First Nations peoples. Nous consistently favours purchasing from local sources, Fairtrade, First Nations-owned enterprises, and businesses with social objectives, underpinning a holistic approach to corporate responsibility.

Nous exercises corporate social responsibility in many ways, and I think that the main way it does this is through the work it chooses to do and the clients it chooses to work with.

The company is highly selective with the work they choose to bid for. This includes only bidding for projects that will have a positive impact on society.

The organisation is very committed to social responsibility. They work heavily in the decarbonisation and sustainable development industries and carry this into the organisation. We have a net zero plan and committment and take steps towards this

Within our office we have people with disabilities coming in to gain work experience. Our old computers are given away to charities distributing technology.

Nous has a very strong ethic and won't bid or work on projects that don't have a positive influence. Most, if not all projects at Nous that I've come across have a clear positive outcome, even if it's for a small number of people.
