I am able to experience a range of different work in my role. I have been part of preparing for inspections from the Ombudsman and participating in both compliance work and a big project the team is working on. Compliance work generally relates to any questions or issues that come up and compare those questions to the legislation, and make an assessment on whether that it is compliant or breaches the legislation.

Being a grad we often aren't stepping into someone else's role, so there isn't much BAU as I thought there would be. But volunteering for work and proactively seeking more things to do has helped keep me busy.

I enjoy doing the project-based research and sitting in on meetings etc. I have enjoyed the BAU work less - processing MC validations as I find it very mundane. I understand the need for balance and both types of work, however I seem to just be doing the BAU work at the moment. Understandably as everyone was very busy over EOFY.
