The role
As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks under the supportive supervision and guidance of the Fund Accounting Manager & Finance Manager.
The role involves a rotation between Fund Accounting and Management Accounting functions thereby giving you broad exposure and hands-on experience into both streams of accounting. Your tasks will include (but are not limited to):
Management accounting tasks:
- Perform daily accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable management, bank reconciliations, day-to-day bookkeeping
- Prepare monthly management reports for CFO review
- Process monthly payroll
- Assist with tax-related obligations which involve preparing workings for BAS, FBT, payroll tax, profit tax and liaising with external tax advisors
- Assist with the annual financial audit through liaising with external auditors and reviewing annual financial statements
- Assist with risk management activities such as insurance renewals
- Support the Compliance Officer with compliance-related matters including AML & AFSL requirements
Fund accounting tasks:
- Prepare fund reporting including monthly unit pricing and quarterly reports
- Assist with management of fund cashflows (capital calls and distributions)
- Assist with tax & audit obligations in various jurisdictions
- Respond to investor queries

The successful candidate will possess the following:
- A minimum of distinction average at University, with a major in Accounting
- Prior accounting experience is advantageous but not essential
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a high-performance culture
- Dedicated, diligent and have a “can-do” attitude
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Team player and strong communication skills
- Intermediate MS Office skills
- Australian permanent resident or citizen
