About ISO
Pilbara ISOCo Limited is the government appointed independent system operator for the North-West Interconnected System (NWIS), an electricity grid serving mining, industrial, commercial and residential loads in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.
The functions of the Pilbara ISOCo are set out in Part 8A of the Electricity Industry Act 2004 and the Pilbara Network Rules. Among other things, the Pilbara ISOCo is responsible for maintaining and improving the security of the power system and facilitating network coordination and planning.
The Company was registered in June 2021 as an incorporated not-for-profit public company limited by guarantee under the Corporations Act 2001. The current members of Pilbara ISOCo are the three interconnected registered network services providers – APA, Horizon Power and Rio Tinto.

Tertiary qualification in electrical engineering (recognised by Engineers Australia) desirable, undergraduates within 1-2 semesters of completion also encouraged to apply.
