Culture at Pitcher Partners

8.8
8.8 rating for Culture, based on 24 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
I've made some really close friends in my practice group and sometimes we socialise outside of work. Even in work whoever I am working with are generally very supportive and are happy to help me out when I have any questions or need help.

There is a strong and cohesive culture within the firm and specific teams. The graduate program enables us to build relationships with graduates in divisions all over the organization, and we have regular social events with our respective teams. Managers and more senior team members are very friendly and easy to engage with.

The social culture at Pitchers is genuinely amazing! There are many events on as a firm, as a group within your department and with social club as well.
Intern, Melbourne - 11 Jul 2024
Really good culture at Pitcher Partners. There are regular social events to allow colleagues to bond and be friends. There are also a lot of internal events to support different causes such as annual women in business breakfast and inviting client to speak at events about their story and journey to success etc.

While there is a hierarchy for getting work done efficiently and effectively, the hierarchy doesn't extend past that. Lunch times and after hours, everyone mixes with everyone no matter which level of the hierarchy they are from.

Culture within the office is really good, with conversations always going. Team activities and social events are regular. Partners interact with all levels of the hierarchy.

The culture is highly dependant on the rotation you are in and the level of flexibility offered in the team. For example, in my first rotation we hot-desked, so I was able to get work done in a comfortable environment sitting next to my good friends and bouncing off them. This team was very social and did a lot together outside of work hours as well. In my current role, it is assigned seating and I am seated among more senior members of the team, so it is a lot more intimidating. There is very little conversation that is not work-related and team members don't really see each other outside of work. A weekly productivity report is sent out to all team members which shows everyone's billable hours (client work) for the week. This really adds pressure.

During work hours the culture is great, all staff members at every level in my team are approachable and willing to help. Amongst other graduates the culture is excellent. Within my team the grads often collaborate, and outside of my team the grads will frequently catch up for coffee or lunch. There is plenty of social activities, but this can vary among teams.

Relatively flat structure with supportive team members. Free coffee and good work environment.

Pitcher's hire great people first and foremost and that is evident in the way we operate. Our work is largely team based which is how great connections are formed. After hours there are regular events held that allow people to get together and socialise, but even when not formerly organise by Pitchers you'll find there are always people heading out after work for dinner or drinks as genuine friends and not just work colleagues.

I admire my company's culture. After hours culture is great, most of my colleagues are quite social and are always keen to sit down and have a chat. In office culture is also great, there is a slight disconnect between partners and staff, which is to be expected (however, this is lessened after hours), but as said earlier, the team really supports each other, particularly when someone looks to have a heavy workload. Strong cooperation and teamwork.

People are friendly in general. Some groups are more social than the other, with after work beer hang/ quarterly group socials events. I have worked with more than 5 teams in the past 8 months and all teams have been easy to work with. Managers and senior managers are approachable and encourage questions on jobs.

Lots of teamwork and always working in different small teams of people which helps keeps things fresh and great for building a network around the firm. Everyone appears to cooperate effectively

In office culture makes me want to come into the office rather than who.

The culture is great, it can depend on individual teams but it's quite a social company. A lot of the partners are more than happy to chat and work with grads, which you don't always see. The Hub has free coffee, and a lot of teams are happy if you work from home 1-2 times a week. Hours dependent on team, longer hours if you work in audit, other teams dependent on jobs.

The company's culture is inclusive, and employees share a strong sense of unity and motivation. Numerous initiatives contribute to this positive culture, such as free tea, coffee, and hot chocolate throughout the day. Additionally, there are various social activities among the graduates, including group lunches, after work drinks, and even bouldering.

Everyone is extremely welcoming and happy to help, even if they are considered to be the top of the hierarchy. Work flows very easily, with everyone forming strong relationships between members of the wider team. We also run monthly social events, where everyone can come together and socialise with those they may not have had the chance to work with directly.

Pyramid structure, lots of young people (most people under 30) makes for great social culture. Lots of socialisation and social activities all year round
Graduate, Melbourne - 12 Oct 2023
The firm has a good mix of cultural backgrounds, the culture is respectful, caring, chill and fun. After hour wise the firm has regular social events and multiple social networks connecting people internally and externally (we have a young professional network, often we invite other young professionals from banks, lawyer firms to connect with us over a trivia night). Hierarchy wise senior management is quite assessable to junior staff, they are willing to give you the time and effort to coach you.
Graduate, Melbourne - 11 Oct 2023
Minimal socialising. Too many juniors working from home. poor culture overall
