A graduate in audit - the work is very repetitive and doesn't simulate my mind that much. However when there is a lot of work it keeps me busy and time flies.

The BA&A(Audit) division has a variety of both audit and tax work. Day-to-day responsibilities range from preparing tax returns, FBT returns and BASs to audit fieldwork and planning. Often, we will travel to audit client sites to work which are all over Victoria.

I found audit workflow somewhat structured and predictable, however, industry/client-specific issues provides exposure to new concepts which means I still get to learn new things every other day. Travelling to clients sites is fun, but without extremely strong willpower, it can be hard to settle into a routine and be active outside of work.

I also have the opportunity to sit in on the weekly Research team meeting where they provide key analysis as to how markets are travelling and how they are positioning themselves.
