A graduate in audit - the work is very repetitive and doesn't simulate my mind that much. However when there is a lot of work it keeps me busy and time flies.

The BA&A(Audit) division has a variety of both audit and tax work. Day-to-day responsibilities range from preparing tax returns, FBT returns and BASs to audit fieldwork and planning. Often, we will travel to audit client sites to work which are all over Victoria.

day to day responsibilities include completing audit workpapers, liaising with clients to understand their entity, processes etc for a smooth audit. Further to that, regular communications with the performance manager and job manager to ensure there is a smooth workflow.

Preparing financial reports and tax returns for individuals, companies, other entities. Undertaking audits of companies, general administration for clients.

Accounts preparation, preparation of tax returns, conducting audit walkthroughs and workpapers, interaction with clients .

My day to day responsibilities include a fair bit of administrative work in relation to personal and corporate insolvency. There is also of course a heavy investigative component to determine what went wrong in various matters.

As a graduate in tax advisory I find that my day-to-day activities. During the busy season activities mostly include preparing income tax returns for trusts, companies or individuals, preparing BASs, preparing FBT returns, or conducting research about tax law.

Responsible for organising stock takes, completing walkthroughs with clients and completing audit programs.

I'm at the stage where I can now start to handle my own workflow, take greater responsibility on jobs and really see the benefit of the work we do. This includes running audit jobs as auditor in charge and completing financials and tax returns for our clients.

Performing internal audit tasks including but not limited to: scheduling meetings, preparing scopes, document requests and reports, testing of documents and data provided, meetings with internal audit stakeholders.

I found audit workflow somewhat structured and predictable, however, industry/client-specific issues provides exposure to new concepts which means I still get to learn new things every other day. Travelling to clients sites is fun, but without extremely strong willpower, it can be hard to settle into a routine and be active outside of work.

As a rotating analyst, you go to 3 different teams across 2 years. So responsibilities will vary team to team.

Preparing accounts, dealing with clients

My day-to-day responsibilities include communicating with directors, reviewing bank statements, preparing statutory reports, and maintaining ongoing correspondence with management to ensure that tasks are executed correctly and to a high standard.

I work within investment advisory, and as a graduate, I work in the treasury team. Here, we manage all transactions between bank accounts, payments, and placing term deposits through different banks. We also communicate with the advisers and partners of our practice group on a day-to-day basis. I also have the opportunity to sit in on the weekly Research team meeting where they provide key analysis as to how markets are travelling and how they are positioning themselves.

Financial audits, working mixed between client office and our office

As a corporate finance graduate, day-to-day responsibilities may include financial analysis on target business, research on transaction multiples for a valuation engagement, report drafting and writing,
