Working Hours at Pitcher Partners

7.9
7.9 rating for Working Hours, based on 24 reviews
How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
We need to complete 375 units of work each week and must publish our timesheets. When I am on a large job or have strict timelines I will generally stay late usually an hour or so if required.
Graduate, Melbourne - 18 Jul 2024
Work hours are quite rigid (8:45-5:15) built around the timesheet system (7.5 hours with 1 hour lunch). In busy periods these hours are increased (depending on the job) and there is an expectation that you meet your chargeable amounts every day.

It is quite flexible, as long as you get in your 7.5 hours. Some people come slightly earlier and leave earlier while others choose to start later and stay back later.

Satisfied with the hours. We generally are expected to work between 8:45am to 5:15pm with breaks in between where need be. The requirement if for staff to do a minimum of 7.5 hours each day and when you start or end is generally quite flexible.

The company is flexible as long as you complete your required hours in a week. You can arrive and leave a little bit earlier if required, take a shorter break if required.

Pitchers are really good with flexible work arrangements and are happy for you to arrive early to leave early, as long as you hit your minimums and get your work done, it is quite flexible.

The nature of my team (insolvency) means that there are a lot of statutory deadlines that need to be adhered to. Because of this, there are times when working late is an expectation. I have heard that other teams are required to work extremely long hours in busy season (July to October-Ish), however I can't speak to this as I haven't experienced it.

Flexible work locations and time in lieu if billing over a certain amount of hours per week.

We have generally flexible arrangements depending on the time of year, in essence it comes down to work where you need to be.

Pitcher Partners, and particularly my business unit are very flexible when it comes to hours. It allows me to work the hours I prefer but also displays confidence and trust in our employees. I will generally work standard hours but make up time at the end of the day if I need to attend an appointment or attend to personal tasks.

The management team meets weekly to ensure that analysts have an appropriate amount of work which can be managed within the required timeframes. Whilst there are exceptions to the rule, most weeks entail an appropriate amount of work which can be completed between 9 to 5.

Hours before busy seasons are standard, and we start an hour early/ finish an hour late or both during busy seasons. Depending on your job managers, you may ask to work flexible hours if important personal matters arise.

If you build trust with your team and show you are competent you can build a mutual level of trust where people are less likely to question you

Flexible depending on team. Quite a few teams allow WFH 1-2 days a week. However less likely in audit.

Rarely expected to work outside standard business hours.

The hours can be very demanding at times, depending on the practice group you are in, which is characteristic of professional services. Pitcher Partners does an excellent job of providing flexible working options, allowing you to work from home or at one of their other office locations if needed.

Work hours are quite flexible, my work hours are usually around 9am to 5:15/5:30pm, but it wouldn't be a problem if I started my day earlier and finished earlier or vice versa.

I work 8am - 6pm in busy season (July - November). Other than that its usually 8 hour days
