Purpose of the Position
The role of the Graduate Valuer/Valuer is to:
- Complete rating and land tax valuation contract(s) ensuring all targets are met.
- Follow, meet and implement all standards set in Property NSW Procedures as encompassed in the current contract and QVA Procedures/QualityManual.
- Contribute to the QVA Procedures/Quality Manual and QVA client management plan and ensure implementation of.
- Work across a variety of Council areas and land types within the contract which includes Murray River, Edward River, Berrigan, Greater Hume, Federation, and Albury.
- Full training will be given
Key Relationships
The Graduate Valuer/Valuer reports to the Manager, (through their respective line Manager) Quotable Value Australia
The Graduate Valuer/Valuer will be required to build and maintain working relationships with:
- Managers, valuers, graduate valuers, and support staff
Key Responsibilities
- Provision of valuation services for rating and taxation purposes. Initially, these valuations are likely to be more of a residential/rural lifestyle nature, rather than commercial, industrial, rural, and specialist properties.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, practices, and technology affecting valuation.
- Contribute towards ensuring productivity, quality, and job satisfaction are continually improved.
Special Role Requirements
A current clean driver’s license is essential. The Graduate Valuer/Valuer will provide his/her own vehicle for work purposes.

Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential materials with integrity
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed analytical skills
- Well developed time-management skills
- Good relationship skills
- Computer literate with proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Professional presentation
- A knowledge of Rating and Land Tax Valuations procedures is desirable but not essential
- Ability to contribute proactively to the team as a whole
Qualifications
Experience
- API member or meets the criteria to become a member
- Experience in provision of valuation services for rating or taxation purposes is ideal but not essential.
