Please tell us about promotion possibilities and fill us in on what it takes to move up the ranks.
It is a very slow and tedious process, which is linked to a seniority-based type of promotion. Excuses and obstacles are used to slow down / prevent the promotion process.
Intermediate, Perth - 31 Jul 2024
There are opportunities to move up the ranks. But with what they pay us it's hardly worth it.
Graduate, Melbourne - 26 Jul 2024
There are always oppurtunites to move up, ususally propelled by the growth of hte firm and avaliability of senior positions. Usually, consistent work and effort are rewarded

I have only been at RSM for more than a year, so don't have too much experience to talk about. I did get promoted, but feels more like natural progression (was going to happen anyway)
Graduate, Melbourne - 18 Jul 2024
At my company, promotion opportunities are structured to recognize and reward performance, dedication, and continual growth. Advancement typically involves a combination of demonstrating strong job performance, achieving measurable results in my roles, and actively seeking opportunities for professional development.
Graduate, Sydney - 18 Jul 2024
Work hard and demonstrate competencies = get promoted. I think quite a few people get promoted into senior positions because they are technically competent, but they severely lack leadership skills, team managerial skills and client relationship skills. I have concerns that these people may be the future partners of the firm.
Graduate, Canberra - 18 Jul 2024
RSM offers clear career progression in terms of skills development and promotion opportunities.
Graduate, Melbourne - 18 Jul 2024
Strong promotion opportunities at our company, generally prefer to promote rather than externally hire where possible. Hugely partner dependent though, some definitely can disgruntle their team with external hires who clearly don't fit the culture and dynamics of the existing team.
Graduate, Brisbane - 18 Jul 2024
I put a 5 as I have only been here for 3 months, and I have not yet proved much to be moved up.
