Culture at RSM Australia

8.6
8.6 rating for Culture, based on 91 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
The team is too busy to properly socialise and bond, which has led to very limited interactions with team members and in doing so has inhibited the ability and enjoyment of working together. Most pieces of work are performed individually, with little to no collaboration with others. In the past it has been hostile, as some will take certain measures to be more chargeable than others.

Seniors and managers are very supportive, and they are the real leaders in my eyes. Some partners are good. Graduates retain is bad, there is almost zero motivation for graduates to stay here for a long time and contribute besides their networking and bad economy.

The company has a good culture of collaboration and hard work reflected in the in offfice feel. I feel like I can ask for help and chat with anyone, no matter their position. The hierarchy consists of Undergraduate, Graduate, Accountant, Senior Accountant, Manager, Senior Manager, Principal and Partner. The social club means there's a few events that the office can participate in that allow us to socilise outside of work

The culture is very good. Within the office, the mood is always light, even when everyone is busy with work. Whilst there is a defined hierarchy when completing tasks, it is evident that once the work is complete, we are all friends rather than colleagues. Whilst I haven't been able to engage with my colleagues after hours, due to study commitments, I can see that the culture is much the same, and that my colleagues are genuinely friends with one another.

The culture at the Geraldton office is very welcoming and supportive. Everyone is happy to lend a hand when I'm facing challenges.

In office work culture is very good and supportive. There is a great Team work culture and atmosphere with teams sitting together and therefore your always able to socialize, ask questions and feel part of a Team. The teams put good effort into putting on social events as well as casual opportunities such as lunches and Friday drinks - the structure and hierarchy is clear with managers and senior leaders being very approachable, helpful and make an effort to socialize as well. - Management is also very realistic about expectations and understanding of personal lives

In the office, my team is great to work with, and like the balance of Manager to subordinate ratio. The only downside is as mentioned before, I do find sometimes with the type of project work, there are some communication issues. We don't have many after hour events, or I don't go to any, hence cannot say if it is any good.

Strong culture in our company, good level of culture in the office with engagement committees and small quantity of activities. After hours, minimal office culture - generally in line with expectation to not work excessive overtime which is a positive.

Firstly: the structure/hierarchy is the Partners/Directors, and then there's the managers, Admin, and then Graduates who are at the bottom. But although the structure and hierarchy dictate who has the overall responsibility, everyone here in this office share this responsibility and strive to finish goals. Everyone is corporative, we socialize during morning teas, and EOFY barbecue, or during lunch breaks in the break room.

The culture is a mixed bag. Some teams are very close together whereas others are not. I am fortunate enough to be quite close with both people in and out of my team who I often socialize with both in and out of works hours and feel quite comfortable having casual and relaxed conversations with management.

I guess the afterhours is lacking in socializing, but they are trying to change this. In office socially it seems like those have been here the longest are the higher ups but like that's how it is in workplaces, however they aren't exclusive with it. Teamwork is find seems like everyone is working to get everyone to the goal
Graduate, Ballarat - 18 Jul 2024
Everyone is very approachable
Graduate, Sydney - 18 Jul 2024
The culture at the office is very inclusive to multiculturism and gender equality, we all see each other as a human and respect each other. We all get along, and try to help each other. The office structure; we have managers, who we all know possess lots of knowledge, we tend to listen to them the most, however it is very mutual between everyone. I don't believe that anyone shows negative attitude or energy towards each other, for example: Like putting other people down because they may not be as knowledgeable.

Our culture is extremely encouraging and helpfu towards each other. Despite having multiple different power positions, our firm doesn't display heirachy issues when outside the office. cooperation, teamwork and socialising are all healthy areas in our firm.
Undergraduate, Brisbane - 18 Jul 2024
There's a lot of teamwork involved with audit, so you get to experience the worst and best of a team work
Assistant, Perth - 18 Jul 2024
The office culture is very friendly, everyone is approachable and is encouraged to be themselves. We have monthly drinks where all services/teams get together and socialise. The team culture is very structure, there is clear hierarchy, some managers enforce the hierarchy more than others, however, often it tends towards a flat framework in that managers and partners are very approachable from team members of all levels.
