I enjoy my work
Graduate, Brisbane - 13 Sep 2024
I'm happy with the business's management of my role. My minor dissatisfaction comes more from my feeling that I still need to improve my technical knowledge before I'm completely comfortable in my responsibilities. Despite my role being technical, a majority of my work is operations focused with little opportunity to practice technical skills. I feel this will improve with experience and further training.

I am very satisfied with my work - I feel like it's interesting and challenging. Sometimes I am given boring tedious work, but that is due to being a graduate.

Graduate, Brisbane - 15 Jul 2024
I find my role and day to day responsibilities very interesting and have learnt so much from my roles which is good. I appreciate being given the same types of responsibilities as other team members even as a graduate engineer and being given the right balance of space and support to be able to expand my knowledge and understanding as an engineer.
Graduate, Brisbane - 05 Jul 2024
I feel my tasks are less relevant / important to the company, all of my projects feel like a nice-to-have and it feels a lot less important especially when other higher positions are constantly telling us to only focus on the most important/profitable tasks first.

I love the work that I currently do now that I have been in the department for over 2 years I have a better understanding of how things are done and what processed to follow. Any new graduate that join the team, are not given the opportunity to shadow other senior employees but rather are thrown into the deep end and required to be the lead geophysicist, geologist or engineer on projects. This is a very stressful way to start as your responsibilities and accountabilities as a graduate are the same as the responsibilities of senior employees in the team. You rely on senior staff to take time out of there own responsibilities to train and assist graduates.

Mix of offshore/office work. Interesting scopes to be exposed to.
Graduate, Perth - 26 Jun 2024
I love what I do, I get to be in the front line of operations - engaging with colleagues on the facility, JV partners and third-party company reps. I communicate with the facility and even get to go out there fairly regularly. I do a lot of ad-hoc working to assist in solving urgent matters and have long term projects to work on in the background.
