How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
The company is flexible enough in terms of hours of work, epically hours from home vs office. The roster works well.

I get to work 4 days a week 10-hour days which is great!

I have my set hours that I have signed on for. There is some flexibility with where I complete those hours depending on needs.

I work 12 hour shifts on a sportsman's roster, so I only work half the year. The roster suits my lifestyle and allows me to travel without using leave.
Graduate, Collie - 18 Jul 2024
Currently on 2:2 roster. Working 12 hours a day from 6am to 6pm. Due to my current role, I don't have the flexibility to work different hours, however I am entitled to leave requests such as annual leave, sick leave and so on.

Work hours are good, 10 hours a day for myself and do a 4days on / 3 days off roster. It is quite a balanced roster. My line leader is quite flexible with hours and is very helpful if the correct notice is given on any issues, concerns.

Work hours can be flexible, in particularly when arranged before hand.

I work 10 hr days. 4 days a week. I feel there is definitely pressure to work longer hours more like 12. My team is completely inflexible with hours. Has to be in the office. As we're FIFO there's no reason to take less hours as there is nothing to do outside of work.
Graduate, Darwin - 11 Jul 2024
When I'm on shift the hours are fairly set, however there is flexibility on what shift I work on. when I'm working in the office there is more flexibility around start times and days worked

Very flexible, I love hours that I work as I can leave when required if I have to do something at home and finish my day there. It is the most flexible job I have ever had and I wouldn't change it for the world.

9 day (80hr) fortnight, usually quite flexible when needing to WFH etc.

Flexible working hours.
Graduate, Bunbury - 08 May 2023
I have not needed to take any time off as yet; however, from what I have seen there is flexibility with annual leave and working from home if required.

As a shift engineer, it is a site-based role with clearly defined hours (6am to 6pm) so there isn't much flexibility with hours or opportunities to work from home. I don't mind this too much, but it can be frustrating if you work better in the afternoons/evenings as you only seem to be kicking into gear in the last few hours of the day.

Currently on my first departmental rotation in Coal Clearance where hours are slightly more i.e., 10 hours compared to other departments. In case if there's some urgent work outside of work I can leave few hours early after taking the permission from the Mining Engineering Manager or from the department's superintendent.

The company have been very understanding and flexible, but it has gone both ways.
Graduate, Wollongong - 05 May 2023
12 hour work days on site for 7 days. Can work from home if really necessary although systems are very slow at home.
Graduate, Anindilyakwa - 05 May 2023
12 hour shifts on a sportsman's roster. I work blocks of 4 or 5 days on, followed by 4 or 5 days off, aligning to get 2 weekends on and 2 off each month. I really enjoy the roster at the moment being young and having minimal commitments to family/people outside of work. Flexibility is great too, swapping shifts with colleagues is relatively easy.
Graduate, Collie - 04 May 2023
7 - 4:30 with an expectation to stay back if the job requires it. Seems to be a culture to work long hours
Graduate, Wollongong - 04 May 2023
so far somewhat flexible 8 - 5
