Diversity at Stockland

The business pays a lot of attention to diversity and inclusion not only in the recruitment process but also in on-going learnings.

Lots of people from different background working in Stockland, this is very obvious to see

very strong diversity policies. Of course challenges in gender percentages in project management.

Goes above and beyond to advertise and make special events when certain celebration days occur. Always acknowledges the traditional owners of the land before meetings and makes everyone feel included.

Stockland has been very intentional on promoting diversity within the workplace. There are a variety of Employee Advocacy Groups (EAG) that work to increase awareness and ensure equality and inclusion within the workplace. This further promotes diversity within Stockland.

Stockland has an excellent equal opportunity policy. Additionally, we have regular meetings where we are educated on many diversity topics. Of the eight SLT members, five are women. Stockland has childcare, maternity leave (for both parents), and everything else you can think of.

Stockland does what they can to have a diverse work place. We also have sessions/meetings to acknowledge certain events or special dates/weeks

I am LGBT and I feel like I am very much accepted here. I can be who I am.

There is great diversity throughout the office in terms of gender, age, background, etc. Recruitment is based on the best candidate rather than other external factors. The company also offers great leave packages.

As someone in HR, Stockland has certainly increased its commitment to D&I. It can be seen across the board from Pay equality to Promotions

Stockland clearly prioritises diversity. It is seen in its recruitment strategies when sourcing candidates but also through its constant internal analysis on gender equality.

There are many EAG programs across the company. The company is very open to hiring from all minorities, provides great maternity leave packages, and promotion from within is good.

I am an applicant from a less privileged background. As I stated in a previous question. I came to my interview with a coat that I got for $30 and pants that I had to remove lint from to appear better. They heard my story. Everyone has given me so much appreciation and respect in the last few months that I have perhaps not gotten in the last 10 years before I joined Stockland.

A simple way is in the recruitment process, they do not promote a role just to a specific type of individual, they want applicants from all backgrounds and all skillsets.
