- 1 week study tour to Dai-Ichi Lifes head office in Japan.
What you will do:
Led by the Chief Information and Innovation Officer, the Technology and Innovation comprises over 600 staff. The teams work across foundational areas that enable TAL to perform its day-to-day business processes and ultimately support our customers when they need us most.
Rotations on the Technology Graduate Program include working in the areas outlined below:
- Infrastructure and Operations; this team oversees infrastructure architecture and networks across TALs IT operations. As well as business and user computing services, the team manage cloud optimisation and future capacity planning initiates.
- Continuous Delivery: this team develops and supports underlying technology health, innovations, and improvements across all TAL’s product suite and aligned technology stacks. Organised by Platforms and team Pods, Continuous Delivery teams operate within an Agile environment and execute the delivery for initiatives from large scale, multi-year transformations, product development, to operational platform health activities.
- Cyber Security is responsible for analysing the cyber threat landscape and for raising TAL's cyber threat awareness and protection levels.
- The Integration function supports large scale integrations of applications and products, for example our recent integration of Asteron Life
Who we are looking for:
- A strong academic track record (distinction average or above) in a technology related discipline; Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Science and/or Data Analytics.
- You will be IT curious with a high passion for technology and be a logical problem solver with critical thinking skills.
- Curious and passionate about technology and ongoing learning
- Have an open mind and be willing to provide and receive constructive feedback.
- Be able to juggle multiple tasks in a high paced working environment; and
- Work both independently and deliver as a member of a team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-rounded background with experience across community and / or extra-curricular activities.
- Interest in roles that not only embraces analytical skills but is also customer focused.
- Leadership qualities developed through high school, university, work experience and / or extracurricular activities.
- Initiative and drive, together with the ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
Who Can Apply
- Completion of an undergraduate or post-graduate degree in the last 2 years or by the end of 2024
- The program starts in February 2025 by which time you must be an Australian citizen, a Permanent Resident of Australia or hold 485 sub-class visa, and willing to undergo background checks as required.
