The day-to-day responsibilities vary in each rotation. From my experience, most of the week is spent working on a project that the team has prioritised, while also spending some time on a task on another project. I also try to find at least a few hours each week to prioritise my professional development as a way to upskill.

I am a graduate within the Individual Life Business Unit at TAL. Day to day operations is dependent on the rotation I am in. At TAL we experience 4 grad rotations over the course of 2 years. Each rotation is 6 months. Day to day mix of work includes any ad-hoc project work, and Business as Usual activities.

As a software/front-end dev, I work mostly with React language and managing content management systems. There are lots of opportunities to also work with other areas such as back-end and automation tests but this is dependent on your team's capacity.

There is a lot going on in Internal Communications so I am able to lead on certain projects and take ownership which is nice. It does get pretty busy at times, especially as I am helping out with other teams as well as part of my first rotation.
