Working Hours at TAL Australia

Very flexible. 9-5 working hours expected in general. Managers are more concerned with your performance and meeting your obligations rather than monitoring the time spent at your desk. Like any workplace however, it is expected during busy reporting periods or some projects that deadlines are met, so extended work hours may be necessary.

Unbelievably, our company moved from a 2 days in, 3 days remote setup, where 1 of the 2 days was a mandated "team day", meaning that you had to come in for one certain day (ie monday), then the other was up to you, which was fine, to a 3 "team days" in mandated system with 2 days remote. It is obvious that TAL is going down the path of 5 days back in office within the next few years. Rather than looking to create more flexible opportunities.

Relatively flexible, minimum office days is 3 hours. Overtime is not necessarily expected but may be necessary to fulfill obligations to high standards/quality.

My work hours are generally around 9-5 give or take depending on the day and workload. This is usually the same for most people, but each team can be different based on the nature of their work. From what I understand, there are options to work during different hours, but this would likely only be for specific circumstances, such as people working offshore as it may be unreasonable for them to work during the at the same time as their team in Australia.

I am content with my work hours in the office. We are mandated to be in the office 3 days a week, and work from home 2 which i feel is a nice mix.

We have a three-day minimum office attendance that was recently changed from two days. Some people chose to start their days earlier and finish later, and this flexibility is generally up to individual teams.

TAL has a flexible work policy, we can come into the office every day if we want to, but most people do 2-3 days in the office and 2 from home. If you want to go to the gym, there is this amazing on-site gym which is better than most other gyms in the city!
