About the role:
Do you have a passion for finance and accounts? We currently have an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our Revenue & Expenditure team. The primary focus of this position is to provide timely and accurate processing of all aspects in relation to accounts payable services within organisational guidelines.
Duties include:
- Process invoices, credit notes payments and reconcile supplier statements;
- Provide financial information;
- Reconcile and prepare month end reports and scan and file documentation for year-end archiving;
- Review daily/monthly reconciliations to sub systems and General Ledger;
- Investigate and resolve issues;
- Maintain creditor master file, monthly processing of invoices/payments and reconcile supplier statements;
- Maintain petty cash float, cash handling and transfer of electronic funds;
- Undertake system testing for new software releases and assist in training of new team members;
- Implement council/service procedures.
About you:
To be considered for this role you will need:
- Diploma in Accounting or similar qualifications;
- Accounts payable experience;
- Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting systems and processes;
- Strong data entry and knowledge of corporate computer systems;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, eye for details and accuracy;
- Current Class C Driver Licence.
