I am not fully aware as I am still part of the graduate program however grads are presented with many opportunities once they are done with the program to secure a role in their respective field or even other roles they have not tried out.
Graduate, Auckland - 04 Sep 2024
There's no permanent position at the end of the graduate program which is quite disappointing after 2 year and 4 rotations at the company. During the rotations if you feel they are legitimately not working the graduate program are happy for you to change but often you have to find where you want to go next yourself. It is left almost entirely in your hands. In NZ there's not a lot of technical opportunities. Ventia is happy to move you to Australia. However, for myself who. does prefer staying in NZ, I'm not sure there's much career progression I can make in Ventia.
Graduate, Auckland - 03 Sep 2024
I haven't had the opportunity to experience a promotion.
Graduate, Melbourne - 02 Sep 2024
Depends on the part of the business and what you like doing.
Graduate, Sydney - 02 Sep 2024
Depending on the contract, it can be quite versatile. New positions are always open.
Graduate, Sydney - 02 Sep 2024
From what I've seen from past graduates, the promotion opportunities have been fairly strong after completing the graduate program. Multiple grads have gone on to become managers after a 1-2 years and GMs a few years after that.
Graduate, Sydney - 19 Aug 2024
Hard to say at the moment since I'm in my first year of a two year graduate program. There has been some people who are on their way to finishing the program who are finding difficulties in getting a role they can continue with at Ventia. This kind of suggests to me that as a graduate, the career progression opportunity when finishing the graduate program is not as streamlined.
Graduate, Melbourne - 15 Aug 2024
As Ventia is a very large company with many different services, I feel that there are a lot of opportunities available, but you would have to do some personal research on them
Graduate, Perth - 13 Aug 2024
I don't know much about it. Ventia has a two year program so we will probably find out more next week. When you finish the program I believe you can ask your previous managers to continue working with them. The program coordinators might give us a list of available opportunities? Not 100% sure.
Graduate, Perth - 13 Aug 2024
Don't expect Graduates to have promotion and move up the ranks. There is no proper management for the Graduate program.
Graduate, Palmerston North - 04 Dec 2023
Annual salary increase as well as training upon request
Graduate, Sydney - 04 Dec 2023
Not much known yet
Graduate, Hobart - 04 Dec 2023
being passionate, curious and brining new ideas to the business
Graduate, Sydney - 18 Apr 2023
Not much progression space for a Civil Engineer who wants to learn hands on. Promotion depends on connections and work capabilities.
Graduate, Melbourne - 18 Apr 2023
From what I have seen from other people who have been on the graduate program, being a part of the program provides a lot of opportunity to work alongside multiple people in different roles, gaining experience and skills in ways that can help you move upwards internally
Graduate, Sydney - 14 Apr 2023
I guess you can change sector easily however, there aren't many positions always available regarding promotions etc
Graduate, Sydney - 31 Mar 2023
People are constantly coming and leaving, so positions are always available.
Graduate, Sydney - 30 Mar 2023
It's a large company and there is lots of possibility to move around the company to find out what you are interested in. But being new, I am unsure on promotion possibilties.
Graduate, Sydney - 29 Mar 2023
its left up to you if you don't get luck with a rotation
Graduate - 21 May 2021
The possibility for promotion within the company is extremely viable. A lot of people move around within the company and even if a position is not available, the company is not afraid to create one for you.
