my role graduate civil engineer and and am helping my mangers and project engineers with drawings, designs and doing some planning . update project reports and participate daily and weekly meetings. some time going for site visit its for inspections.

As a grad at Ventia, my role involves a mix of learning, contributing to projects, and supporting various functions within the team. On a day-to-day basis, I’m actively engaged in a range of tasks, including assisting with project coordination, monthly update content videos, steering committee and participating in team meetings daily.

In my role, I support the Telecommunications Business Development team by organising meetings, creating client profiles, and ensuring the smooth execution of events. Additionally, I contribute to the brand, marketing, and communications aspects, which include developing capability statements for the Telecommunications sector, auditing and updating our company webpages, and adding news stories about company events.

I have only done 20 months in the graduate program but have only been satisfied with the work for 4 of them. For long periods I have had nothing to do and generally was underutilised. I have been asked quite a bit to do pointless tasks. Other times I've done project co-ordination which is fine but not really developing skills as an engineer.

Working with EAS, reading then given tasks each day from my manager with work that needs to be completed.

I am working on a telecommunication sector, and I mainly work on assisting the engineer on their design and site test reports.

At the moment, working with different stakeholder and their campaign, and BAU task.

Reporting to manager, taking calls, managing spreadsheets.

Assessing M&A opportunities including financial modelling, due diligence, building presentation decks, strategic finance, capital budgeting etc.

My current role could be better defined, but has involved analysing the use of systems in our BU, and how we could better utilise them to deliver on the contract. This has involved looking at current usage of the system, defining the effort/benefit it would take to use it better, and planning for the implementation and uplift.

Pretty much always learning new things and attending meetings to really get a handle of people's thoughts and discussions on the matters. Also, completing tasks delegated to myself which helps with the team.

As an environmental science graduate I have been given a variety of tasks, from data analysis to estimating to helping with our health, safety, environment and quality sectors.

My first rotation was amazing. It was my first ever job though so I didn't have anything to compare it with. Lots of things are quite repetitive, but that's okay. This new rotation seems to be a bit slower and very different from my degree, leaving me feeling a little lost.

As of now, I am finally in a rotation where it is alligned with my passion and I have supportive managers. However, I wouldn't say it is all good. Even though I am at a good team, the culture of ventia is 'such that people ask the grads to help with everything, and if it's good - credit goes to the grad. But if it's bad (even if it's not the grad's fault), then dump it on the grad

My role is as a Site Engineer. I look into Internet connection while managing subcontractors and looking into project management at the same time.

Job responsibilities varies day to day. As a Graduate Engineer who is focusing on project engineering and management, everyday is different. It can go from technical and practical work such as site inspection, client meeting , technical engineering and AutoCAD review. Alternatively, it can be non-technical such as attending meetings, writing reports and review documents for projects.

Performing analysis on pipeline designs and checking if the hit the correct safety factors and manufacturing specifications

Studying tender documents and liaising with different bid managers on the work plan and supporting the team in gathering information to meet tender requirements including sustainability and design documents by client.

My day-to-day responsibilities include compiling our daily media reports, understanding and analysing our social media and communication statistics, and working on projects as they are assigned
