Sustainability at Viva Energy Australia

Working in sustainability, I have seen first hand our company's commitment to sustainability. Projects like the solar program and LED lighting upgrades I have worked on myself and are great ways to ensure Viva is meeting those CSR goals.

There is a huge emphasis on sustainability, and it is at the forefront of their ethos and future planning

Certain sustainability efforts are built up however budgets are low and in my specific department of marketing, I cannot make sustainable changes unless they cost less than what we currently do (almost never the case).

As an energy company, this is very important as the change to more sustainable practices is put in place, as well as restrictions on emissions during our customers' operations. We are always investigating new was to minimise our footprint through carbon credits or beyond.

One of the main pillars in Viva is to reduce their carbon footprint. This is evident by a lot of effort being placed into encouraging recycling, reusable coffee cups (keep cups) and signs throughout the company office to reduce waste.
