Effectively contribute to the management and growth of the Construction Practice, ensuring that client risk management and insurance needs are identified and met whilst using your subject matter expertise to support brokers on major projects. Key areas of accountability will include client servicing, preparation of client documentation, assistance with claims management, client database management and liaison with underwriters.
The Role:
- Provide assistance to senior brokers when required and effectively manage and grow a portfolio of clients ensuring that their risk management and insurance broking needs are identified and met.
- Accurately prepare client documentation such as renewal questionnaires and reports, quote slips, placing slips, client manuals and invoice documents, including premium funding quotes
- Provide support to senior brokers in managing larger clients' insurance, risk management and programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services
- Develop and maintain relationships with insurers, clients and other key stakeholders (internal and external), representing WTW in a professional manner
- Maintain comprehensive client data on WTW systems, facilities and databases
- Respond to client claims enquiries, provide advice on the claims process and maintain the claims database
- Liaise with insurance assessors as required
- Manage workflow and diary systems, ensuring agreed claims standards are achieved with a timely settlement of claims
- Contribute to individual and team annual new business targets ensuring they are met
- Ensure pipeline accuracy and quality is maintained on a regular basis
- Debtor collections are managed in accordance with terms of trade
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures
- Achieve and maintain compliance with relevant NZ regulations
- Undertake professional development when required
The Requirements:
- An innovative thinker with the ability to collaborate and work in a team
- Sound oral and written communication skills both on an individual and small group basis
- Excellent report writing and correspondence skills
- Ability to prioritise work, manage deadlines and work under pressure
- A team player with the ability to demonstrate credibility and gain trust
- Proficient in all MS Office products
- Experience using eGlobal is desired but not essential
- A proven understanding of internet and intranet applications and usage
- A quick learner with the drive to take on additional duties when required
- Preferably degree qualified in any discipline
- You have, or are prepared to undertake, the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5)
- The ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance
- A focus on excellence and the ability to produce accurate work
- A background in general insurance and construction is preferred
