This is an entry-level position, which is perfect for someone who has an interest in getting into finance and would like to build and develop their skills in the Asset Finance industry. In collaboration with the experienced team at Yakka Finance, you can build a rewarding career as a Senior Credit Analyst and then into an Asset Finance Broker role. About the role
This is more than your average “Graduate/Entry Level” role, and whilst working closely with the Senior Credit Analyst and Managing Director in which you will learn:
- The ins and outs of how asset finance works in Australia from one of the leading finance brokerages
- The role has a great mix of sales and finance within it (you will be taught both skillsets)
- Learn how every bank across Australia works and how you can secure funding for business owners
- Learn all the key skills to grow, develop and excel in the role
- Learn how to communicate with our clients, dealerships, private sellers, and accountants to collate the right information and data required for a quality credit submission and settlement. Including but not limited to Tax Invoices, Asset Inspections, Reading Financials, Compiling Equipment Finance Schedules, Asset & Liabilities Statements, Credit Submission Notes and preparing Assets for settlement.
- Be taught how to assist in structuring and submitting finance applications for our clients to multiple banks in collaboration with the rest of the team
- Developing a great understanding of each banking’s credit policy across the lending panel to know which banks like financing what assets
About you
- Have an interest in wanting to get into the finance industry
- Very confident and have a natural ability to build rapport quickly
- Enjoy speaking with a wide variety of people (a background in a call centre or in a hospitality venue would be looked upon favourably)
- Driven and ambitious

Skills & Experience
Our ideal candidate does not have to have any finance experience. They just must have a passion to learn what it takes to succeed in the role. All in-house training is provided by an experienced team.
We are looking for an individual with the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or related discipline (would be advantageous)
- The high degree of computer literacy across all platforms and utilising technology to your advantage
- Natural sales ability and confident
- At least 6 months experience in a working position (customer service or phone-based roles very advantageous)
- Good problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
